Essence of Nothingness

Bottling is an incredibly useful method to contain otherwise unrestrainable things. Rare ingredients, of course, but mischievous critters and even Logic on some occasions. Should the seal be broken, what is trapped inside would get released in the nature, free once again. Among all the bottles stored in my basement, the most dangerous that I know of is without a doubt the Essence of Nothingness.

God's mane

The official records reads that during the tumultuous event which concluded with the eradication of several main cults and an ungodly amount of casualties, an Outer God almost breached into our world. The reality is grimmer. The god did cross the boundary that prevent them from reaching over to our realm. If not by much, it was enough to threaten the very fabric of reality. Only a coordinated effort and my assistance that an unexpected alliance managed to repel it.

Though my knowledge in sealing rituals and deity banishment cannot compare to experts in the subject, I pride myself of a solid mastery. Nonetheless, I almost lost my life there, and failure was just a moment of inattention away. In the happy end, I managed to constrain the god extract in a jar, which turned instantly dark. Not black, mind you, but dark. Instead of the usual pale fog that characterize bottled entities, this one's colouration seem to absorb all the light that would hit it, leaving only a crack in the light.

I don't know what would happen should the bottle be broken. I don't know if I can harness its power. All those I consulted were of no help, and fortunately too afraid to try and steal my trophy. In the meantime, it is stored in my strongest safe alongside the other artefacts of great power, but I worry that even the almighty seal might not be enough. Last time I checked, the glass was slightly warm, and dark droplets of melted glass slid delicately from the lid.
