Size Modifier (abbreviated SM) represents an object or character's general size, and by extension, how easy they are to hit. The default Size Modifier is 0, representing human-sized characters (ranging from ~4'4" to ~7'9").
Size Modifier Table
Tip on using the table
Use the fact log(xy) = log(x) + log(y) to find values not on the table without a calculator. (The formula becomes 6*log(x) + 6*log(y) - 2)
For example, 1 mile = 1760 yd. That is 1.76 x 10^3. 1.76 is -1 and the 3 means to use +18 (6*3) for Size resulting in a +17 for Size.
Earth is 7,917.5 mi or 13,934,800 yd which becomes 1.39348320 x 10^7. 1.39348 is -1 and 7 is 42 (7x6). Earth's Size modifier is +41
This is, of course, more for a GM than players.

SM doesn't alter a character or object's point total because it cancels out; when attacking a larger object add the difference in SM to the attack. When attacking a smaller object, subtract the difference instead. SM also affects Basic Lift, and reach.
Additionaly, If an attacker is seven SM or more above the defender, the attacker can't subtarget. A melee attack from an attacker whose Size Modifier exceeds that of his target by seven or more is also a large-area injury – if the attacker is striking unarmed or with a weapon scaled to his body size. (If he wishes to target a hit location, his tiny victim must be pinned or otherwise immobile.)
Damage Resistance protects normally against large-area injury – but if your DR varies by location, your “effective DR” is the average of your torso DR and the DR of the least protected hit location exposed to the attack (which could still be your torso), rounding up. If your DR varies against different attacks, “least protected” refers to the location with the lowest DR against that particular type of attack.
