Quantum-Matrix Battery

"The Quantum-Matrix Battery was John Fitch's final gift to mankind. Some say he created the first one by accident. Those who knew him find that entirely plausible."
— Professor Mbindwe Burnish, History of Everything 101, Opening Lecture, excerpt

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Quantum-Matrix crystals are actually two crystal matrices occupying the same space, one slightly pushed into Grayspace. The superceding matrices vibrate in extradimensional perpetual motion, putting off a constant piezoelectric energy that is harvested by a compression gel all contained in the casing of the battery.

Significance

Quantum-Matrix batteries are in most pieces of technology. They're so commonplace that most people never stop to think about what a miracle they are.

A modified Fitch-Finnig Engine is needed to superimpose the crystals.   The process is usually done in a Gigafactorum
