Spirit's Rest Tradition / Ritual in The Age of Calamitous | World Anvil

Spirit's Rest

A tradition dedicated to Kyloth the Fierce.

History

This tradition began in the ancient times of the human civilization on the Tenoryan continent.
It honors the great deity, Kyloth the Fierce, who brought balance and justice to the world.
The tradition is mainly celebrated by mages of magical orders such as Elvanor or Felgarth.

Components and tools

A religious zeal of the Dragonkin species is channeled by mages at the precipice of the Spire.
This sends a blue light towards the sky, which spreads and falls back down as light particles that represent the souls of the fallen.

Participants

The High Magus is the one tasked to lead this ritual and deliver the chant of the Ancient.
Mages will be spread around in a circle around the High Magus and perform the ritual accordingly.

Observance

The ritual takes place on top of the Spire (mountain of Han'lanok) on the 9th of February.
It is performed after the sun sets on the horizon and the sky lits up with stars.
