Onikin
Onikin are those bearing blood of demonic tin. This infernal taint has been known to bring with it a certain level of magickal aptitude. Rumours have also attributed an aspect of malignancy and evil to this dark blood though such reports are merely speculation.
There are often physical characteristics which present themselves in Onikin. For instance, certain among them have been said to sprout the beginnings of tails or even small horn-like growths of bone about their head but they’re usually small and hard to notice with a cursory glance. Many Onikin also bear a distinctive tint to their skin, giving them a more inhuman appearance. Others are reported to bear very angular and twisted features.
Of course, modern fears of the Old Races have led many to fear those that show signs of magick inheritance and, chief among those feared are the Onikin. As such, many Onikin try to hide these phenotypic signs through means like cutting off their tail - a dangerous a painful process - filing down their horns, or wearing their hair in such a way to mask their angled features. Some, however, choose instead to accentuate these demonic features either for the fear they cause or for some sense of pride.
