Summary
One day there was a boy called Halago. Halago wasn't born in the village he was raised in, having been found in a field being protected from small predators by a Jarli. He was taken in on the basis of being adorable plus the family that took him, the head family of the village, wanted a slave.
Problem was that as he grew up it was clear that he was gonna grow into a handsome young man. A too handsome young man. A handsome young man with eyes that glittered like crystal and perfect skin.
The village elders agreed that, in order to keep the peace / prevent a giant brawl among the unmarried women over who got to marry him and further problems of women trying to seduce him (basically didn't want their wives cheating on them), he would be sent away to go cause brawls by just being there in some other village.
Upon hearing this, many of the people of the village were distraught to hear he was leaving and gathered some gifts to take with him. These gifts included a hairbrush, a necklace, several days worth of food, some money and a few other nice things. The most important of these was a dog.
While traveling through the wilderness, Halago was ambushed by bandits who took him with the intent of selling him at a high price for his beauty.
When he cried out for help the goddess Krysa answered his call, killed the bandits and took him to a hut that was home to 3 old women, who raised him until he was a young man (how old exactly seems to vary across Lamara's internal cultures, but is pretty much always barely old enough to be considered a man). The 3 old women actually feature in some other stories, suggesting they're ancient rather than old, but that's not particularly significant to this story.
Krysa then came and took him as her consort. They had 7 beautiful children, 6 sons followed by a daughter.
All 7 of them had the Krysa powers but only the daughter would be able to pass them onto her own children.
The sons were all killed by Lapelgo, a monster, and the daughter, given additional power by Krysa, slammed Lapelgo down into the ground with a growth of crystal that churned up the ground as Lapelgo was crushed and pierced by it, forming Mount Krysal.
The daughter, still empowered by the goddess Krysa, killed other monsters that crossed the land bridge into Lamara. She's said to have had 3 children, the oldest a daughter, and to have died at the hands of Blunir himself because when he tried to get her to complete some puzzles and riddles to get a magic weapon she stole it instead.
Historical Basis
Mount Krysal is a real place in Larama: The Nation of the Gods' Gift Peninsula, serving as a ceremonial ground for Lamara's royalty.
Spread
The stories had already spread through about half of Lamara before the Krysa Empire started doing its thing, and then it spread all over Lamara due to the Krysa Empire doing its thing and becoming "just Lamara".
Variations & Mutation
In the official writings by the Lamaran organised faith, Krysa takes Halago as her husband rather than as a consort, however the original stories had him as a consort.
Cultural Reception
The myth is from back when taking concubines and consorts, as well as having additional spouses in general, was normal for the rich and powerful, especially members of magic families who would take concubines and consorts in addition to their spouse to make up for their reduced fertility.
However, Lamara's organised religion currently encourages monogamy so there's some controversy around the original versions of this story, just like there's controversy around the newer versions because everyone knows the older version.
Gods and goddesses sinning isn't exactly abnormal in myths and legends surrounding them but there's been a push to scrub away many of such instances by the organised faith.
Blunir, god of military tactics, strategy, cunning, trickery and pranks, is said to be the one that killed Krysali, the first Krysa and a hero. This has led to some viewing Blunir as an evil god even though this is pretty standard godly behaviour.
Krysali stealing from Blunir has also been scrubbed away in some versions claiming that Halago's knife was stolen from him by Blunir and then given the magic attributes by Blunir that Krysali needed it for. By this logic the hero was only taking back what was rightfully theirs.
In Art
Tonnes of poems, paintings, writings and all sorts Krysali is basically a Heracles-like figure.

In the Age of Demigods, an age that may or may not have actually existed
