Prophecy of the Sinless World
Lamarans believe that the world was flooded because humanity was sinful, but that Jarletta and some other gods and goddesses raised the land from the sea to save the humans, plants and animals.
As a compromise with the God of Gods, the one that did the flooding, it was agreed that the sinless humans would be moved to Lamara, where the first humans were made, and the rest of humanity would suffer outside of Larama: The Nation of the Gods' Gift Peninsula at the hands of monsters, disease and other such problems.
Lamarans believe that sin and virtue are hereditary, in short if your ma punts the neighbour's noisy new child into the stratosphere you're expected to be a try-hard about making up for it by being as virtuous as possible. By this logic, the ethnicities believed to have been moved to Lamara in this event are considered inherently superior to non-Lamarans, and part of the nobility and royalty's legitimacy comes from this being combined with maintaining a prestigious image - as well as the usual "do it or we'll kill you."
All of that leads into an understanding of this prophecy and how on earth (well, this ain't earth, so note that down) almost every existing human dying can be considered a good thing:
Long ago, one of the heads of faith of the Lamaran faith declared the same prophecy as the lead disciple of Ranuti - the god of foresight said to have seen every possible future up to their death after eating the eyes of Yaldabaoth - on the same day in opposite ends of Lamara.
This prophecy was that when all peoples outside of Lamara were dead or subjugated, preferably enslaved, by the Lamarans, it will be possible for humanity to be cleansed of all its sin and given endless kindness with the following benefits:
- Women no longer experiencing pain during childbirth.
- All children born as twins, triplets or even more... Lamarans think twins are holy and magically linked, especially identical twins.
- Farmers can plant seeds one day and harvest the crops that grow from them the next.
- Monsters will all either die, go away or cease to be hostile. It's not clarified which just that people will no longer be harmed by them.
- No disease.
- Injuries all heal much faster.
- No being ugly. The god and goddess of beauty will apparently get drunk and make everyone beautiful. No, really.
- All war will be fought with honour... wow can't even pretend this would be enough to make war stop being a thing.
- Magic families no longer have reduced fertility.
- Gods and goddesses will walk among mortals.
- Magic families are believed to be the descendants of demigods: those last 2 are generally accepted as meaning that all humans will have magic abilities.

Cultural Reception
So anyway, it's being used to justify some very naughty stuff Lamara's royal government is getting up to since they can justify anything if it helps bring about this world.
