Maiden in Black
The Enigmatic leader of the Wings of the Silver Phoenix. Despite her blindness, she claims that the Silver Light is always guiding her actions.
In the story...
The Maiden in Black is the leader and founder of the Wings of the Silver Phoenix organization. It is unknown how old she is or even if she is a mortal. Her face is marred by horrific burn scars, but the lack of eyesight seems to done little to slow her. The Maiden calls to those that have a strong connection to the Well, the realm connected to the Accordlands that is the fountain of both life and death. With the apparent ability to stare deep into the minds and memories of those in her "gaze," she is both a leader and a counsellor to those that follow her.History
Not much is known about the Maiden in Black. Some say she is the forgotten avatar of a God, maybe the Lords of Thunder or another, older deity. Others say she is an immortal spellcaster or perhaps a cast out Fey. The Maiden has a strong command of Divination magic, often bordering on actual foresight. Because of this, it's suggested that she may be in possession of a large amount of Divinity inherited from the Well. The Wings of the Silver Phoenix is her child and the matters of spirits and the Well are her domain. The Elemental Councilors regard as the foremost expert on spiritual affairs, and was offered a spot on the Council which she declined. She has even taught several curricula at the University Obscurum from time to time, citing that education of the curious youth was perhaps the most important of her duties. The Maiden has known to consult with prominent individuals such as the most recent crowned Emperor of Valadir and several of the more notable sovereigns in the Free Kingdoms, but none of these conversations have been recorded.Titles
