Ruadryn the Ruinous, Last King of the Deadland

While a few histories indicate Ruadryn may have not truly been the last formal ruler of the ancient kingdom now known most commonly as the Deadland, he was almost certainly the last one to hold any true power there. Known as the downfall of humanity and an exemplar of the folly of wizards, Ruadryn was said to have cursed his kingdom in a bid for arcane power, recklessly unleashing the power of a terrible artifact on his people. In the aftermath, legend tells of him taking shelter in the palace towers, abandoning his duties as his generals fought to save lives as disasters wracked the land. His spirit is said to still haunt the ruins of the palace, seeking further power even now.
