Post Imperial Age PIA

The post Imperial age resulted from the destruction of the Dra'tok Empire in 958 IA Fall of the Imperial Age.
Due to the nature of the tyrannical rule of dark magic wielders ad the Dra'tok's empires use of demonic and evil forces the people of Thar'kor have rejected magic and shun it as evil and dangerous for the most part. Cheap parlor tricks are accepted as magicians skills and healing acts and blessings accepted as miraculous powers, however all magics beyond this is viewed with deep suspicion or open hostility.
There are a few mageoracies and magic schools that exist through the realm that train magic users but they are few and far between and avoided by the general populace. The are considered a necessary evil and only tolerated to monitor and control the innate magic users that exist in the realm. Parents will often shun their children if they show any signs of magical ability, the Schools and mageocracies seek out this children to train them to control their powers and harness them for good or seal away those who cannot control their powers.
In the immediate aftermath of the fall of the Dra'Thok empire the rulers of the realms ordered the rounding up of all magic items and their destruction , followed by strictly enforce laws against the production of powerful magic items. Magical items are now extremally rare and the few that are made are usually only enchanted with utility magic.
The horrors of the end of the Imperial Age are closely held in all societies and taught to all generations to help prevent repetition of past events. However, almost 1000 years have past and for many the tales are a distant past event that could never happen to them so people became lacking in their vigilance and this allowed the rise of a new evil force, leading to the War of the blood fields. The battle between the forces of Darkness and High King Es'ante's allied forces in the year 934 PIA.
