Urune (oo-roon)

The Urune is an interesting pantheon; rather than existing as an organized religion, the Urune is the name that connects itself to any and all Blight-Born individuals, mortal and immortal. There are some that worship the Blight and its life-giving powers-- this is the closest living spirituality to worship of the Urune.
Urune predominantly refers to the Blight-Borns themselves, gods and angels born without a parent and made entirely from the magical essence of the universe.

History

The Urune began at the beginning of life-- the Blight, a living, breathing mass of magical energy, created entities both like and entirely unlike itself. Sentient deities, created of and by this Blight, stepped into the world. They quickly organized themselves among the planes of Thanar, based on the Blight most strongly associated with their own. Blight-Borns of Purity Blight settled Enok, Corrupted Blight-Borns settled Thanar, and Faerbhali was left to the chaotic Entropy Blight-Borns.

Cosmological Views

The Blight has always been. However, in its rawest form, constituting all of the world around us, it cannot truly create. As such, the Blight cut away pieces of itself to form Uruni, Blight-Born children. First, the Blight created the immortal deities, made entirely of its raw form, alive and magical and vast. These deities were created over time, and in turn they grouped together and structured hierarchies based on their abilities and passions.
After many of the immortal Blight-Borns had been created, the Blight set out to bear more magnificent creatures, creatures that could create in its name but bore an intimate understanding of life, and therefore death. The Blight took pieces of itself and placed them within organic materials created by the immortal Uruni. What took form in response to this was the first angel, Adonai. Shortly after came Xathaniel and then Azra'il. The Blight slivers, pieces of Enokhian Purity Blight, rested within each of these angels as a core of magic, known now as a Grace. As such, the mortal Blight-Borns were created, a handful of parentless angels left to settle Enok with the even fewer immortal Blight-Borns. From there, the angels created Lyar'el.

Worship

As the Blight-Born angels grew and loved and bore children, the worship of their creation and birth began by their children and grandchildren. This was the reigning form of worship for thousands of years, until much of the lower-caste of angels' worship was redirected toward the singular Blight-Born, Jahoel.
