Zedoary

Zedoary a plant/spice often found in the area's around Nagoya and the Cherry Blossom Grove, which even though it is a relatively common spice in these place's outside those cities the price has risen sharply due to the gate's being closed as the Shogun has decided segregate his people from the outside world.
Zedoary when used as a spice in food would give a fragrance like a mango however its flavor is more similar to ginger with a very bitter aftertaste
