Environment: High-altitude forests or storm-prone regions.
Appearance: A massive oak tree with bark that crackles faintly with energy. Its leaves are dark gray, resembling storm clouds, and arcs of lightning occasionally flicker between its branches.
Properties & Effects:
Lightning Conductor: During a storm, creatures within 10 feet of the tree have disadvantage on Dexterity saving throws against lightning effects. However, those in the tree’s shadow are immune to natural lightning strikes.
Electrical Defense: Any creature that strikes the tree with a melee attack takes 1d8 lightning damage.
Harvesting: Branches from the Stormvein Oak can be crafted into wands or staffs that deal additional lightning damage, or used as reagents for Call Lightning spells.
