Type: Symbiotic, Blood-Draining Plant
Environment: Dark forests, caves, or ruins.
Appearance: A dark red vine that pulses faintly, as though it has a heartbeat. The vine seeks living creatures to wrap around, drawing sustenance from their blood.
Properties & Effects:
Leeching Grasp: When a creature touches or walks through the vine, it latches on and begins to drain blood. The creature takes 1d4 piercing damage and must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or take an additional 1d8 necrotic damage.
Symbiotic Healing: If carefully cultivated, the Bloodvine Creeper can be worn as a bracelet or charm. It will siphon 1 hit point per hour but grants the wearer 1d4 temporary hit points per hour.
Harvesting: Properly processed, the vine can be used to craft Potions of Life Leech, which restore hit points equal to the damage dealt to a target within 1 minute of drinking.
