Type: Volcanic Fungus
Environment: Volcanic craters or ashen wastelands.
Appearance: A bulbous, ash-covered mushroom with faint red veins running through its stalk. When disturbed, it erupts in a cloud of hot ash and embers.
Properties & Effects:
Ash Cloud: When disturbed, the bulb releases a 15-foot-radius cloud of hot ash. Creatures in the area must make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or take 2d6 fire damage and be blinded until the end of their next turn.
Thermal Growth: The fungus thrives on heat and fire. If exposed to fire damage, it doubles in size and increases its damage potential to 3d6.
Harvesting: The ash and spores can be refined into Firebombs or used as an ingredient for Potions of Fire Resistance.
