Manaia - The First Mother (Man-ai-ah)

Goddess of the chaotic primordial ether, from whence all other gods were birthed. It is sometimes said that she is the source of the rarest, oldest, most dangerous and most powerful magics in the Omniasphere. Unlike other gods she has little interest in the planes of existence and had no direct hand in creating them, except in that she may be the mother of those who did.
Their are many theories about her existence, but most essentially boil down to one of three;
Many faiths and most theologians seem to agree she is not even a cognitive entity; rather a wild, thoughtless energy which binds, but does not intentionally influence the planes of the Omniasphere, and that she exists within the dreamscape between the planes.
The most common alternative theory is that the term 'birthed' found in religous texts is taken too literally, and the gods are not her children, rather she divided herself into many pieces (which will vary depending on how many of the Demiurge a given text believes are actually gods) which in turn became the gods of the Omniasphere. Though slightly less common than the first theory it is none the less a popular one.
The third and less common theory; one which some religions view as blasphemy, says that she made the gods which created our Omniasphere, or possibly even she created the Omniasphere which in turn gave created the gods, and then left forever, travelling some oblique, unimaginable universal axis which only she can perceive. There she will likely do the same thing again many times, and has done before as well.
