Leonin

A large feline species which can sometimes be mistaken for Tabaxi in parts of the world where they are uncommon. Indeed their genetic lineages are close enough that they are able to produce mixed race offspring.
They are tall, bulky humanoids with the features and manes of a lion. Most still live on the planes of Mwitu, in migrative warrior societies who live with and raise Lions. They are deeply spiritual and worship Yinyidra - The God Tree as what they call 'The Earth Mother'. 
Those that have migrated and settled in Anua and the surrounding deserts often still live in a similar way, though adapted for the alternative environment and culture but those that made their way to Thaeria have largely abandoned this way of life, integrating themselves into the more western society they now call home.
