Ithalqir - The Deep One (Ith-al-keer)
Ithalqir is a horrifying creature by all accounts, though descriptions of his appearance vary wildly. Most come from tales and rumours told as warnings to travellers and children, but he is most often described as a huge, many limbed monster with a large tentacle for a head.
He resides deep beneath the surface of the world in the body of a living organism known as Ithaldom. Ithaldom is part of the very rock of the earth but the walls of the tunnels it forms are said to be composed of an organic, pink fleshy substance. The advice of Dwarves, Dwemer and Drow say that anytime you come upon one of these strange living tunnels in the deep you turn and run, for Ithalqir shows little interest in mortal affairs and concerns, but those who he discovers in his lair will damn themselves and their loved ones to death and cruel bloodcurses.
Though few revere him as a god, many do believe he is a deity of some kind and pay him suitable homage to avoid his wrath, especially those that live in the underdark.
