The Allied Churches of Teutonia

The Allied Churches (or ACT) are an old group which hold the distinction of having members at the first gathering of nations and have been ever-present within the warhost until this day. Their ranks have been vast and varied; ranging from strong-armed warriors to talented spellcasters, from learned ritualists to wily crafters and tradespeople. The Allied Churches encompass the whole of the glorious spectrum that is Teutonia. The group was originally formed by the merger of The Ravens, Natural Born Kender and their mercenary group The Shadow Company. This brought together the worshippers of Bane, Khoreg and Loreli together in one, united church. An inclusive group, no restrictions are placed upon those that seek to join the Allied Churches and players are encouraged to play as any race or skill-set, to explore the Teutonian pantheon and worship their preferred deity (while respecting the others) and gain a fuller understanding of how the universe works. Many players began their careers in the ACT, learning the game system and different styles of play and several notable groups began as part of the Allied Churches, before emerging as full groups in their own right. The Mohredel, the Black Forest Reserve and Ritter von Munster all made their first steps under the banner of the Allied Churches of Teutonia.

The Allied Churches in Today’s Teutonia
The Allied Churches senior leaders operate out of the Holy City of Koblenz. The Venerable Lord Nash rules Koblenz justly and has ensured that there are temples or shrines to all the Gods of Teutonia within his city. Even those deities with a less salubrious reputation are represented, albeit in the more nefarious parts of the city. Koblenz is also home to Skilgannon, who was summoned back to the city by Lord Nash to help oversee the reconstruction of church assets destroyed in the recent war with Sable. Both Nash and Skilgannon return to the warhost on occasion but they mostly reside in Koblenz. However, the reach of the Allied Churches is not restricted to Koblenz. Across Teutonia they have raised institutions to aid commerce and learning of all kinds.
While open to all, current members are crafters, alchemists and traders - ACT members organise and run the Factorum, supporting the warhost in that way. However, the Group was previously honoured for their exploits on the battlefield with their battle leader awarded the title of ‘Knight’s Marshal’ This is currently bestowed upon General Vintar as he acted as the most recent Knight’s Marshall of the ACT.

Assets

Across Teutonia the ACT have raised institutions to aid commerce and learning of all kinds. These are known as Chapter Houses. Deliberately inaugurated, not within the large towns and cities, but at convenient points between them - usually a day’s march from one of these centres, sometimes they constructed hidden on obscure highways and byways. All Chapter Houses provide succour and safety and a place to worship for those on the roads, where otherwise there may be none. There is no set pattern to a Chapter House, some are serious fortifications, while others may be just inns run by members of the ACT but all can be used for Teutonians to rest and rest their goods in safety. They are have become a network that holds Teutonia together and have often been used as bases by the warhost. Every Chapter House accepts any and all worship of the Teutonian Gods. They offer a safe place for people to not just rest, but involve themselves in the conduct learning, crafting, diplomacy and commerce. Chapter Houses provide sanctuary to all those who reside within its walls. One is free to follow the scriptures or to practice your man-at-arm’s skills all learning and training is encouraged within the Chapter Houses. Chapter Houses of Note and Renown Include:
