Era beginning/end

Humanity is returned to the material plane. The Republic is founded with the help of the gods, determined to set the mortals on a lasting path this time.

After so much turmoil, it's hard to put both my sorrow and joy to paper. Five hundred years ago the rest of us lost hope in this venture, albeit for good reason, but leave it to Tymora, Fortune herself, to turn things around. From Silvanus and Mielikki's reports the lands are relatively quiet, and thankfully Lyir has been restored from...well, he's been restored and the waters put back to order. Tymora's just yesterday surprised us all with the good news and things will be moving quickly now, before another cataclysm strikes, or rather can be struck. To think she's been hiding an entire second host of the larvae across the planes all these centuries, and none of us the wiser, save Savras, perhaps, but he certainly kept his mouth shut. I only dread to think what Shar and the others will do when they find out. Perhaps we can give these larvae a quieter, slower start this time. A bit less help from the heavens shouldn't keep them from growing just as well as before. If anything's certain though, it's that this war must end, and we must ensure their survival this time. We'll have to withdraw, as much as it pains me, and surely us all, but perhaps we can get enough time - just enough time - to impart what little knowledge they can endure. I'll have to teach them to write all over again for starters. And they'll need a word for our teachings I suppose, I had best start thinking.   Tymora has just visited. We're sending them back now. May our Lady Luck preserve them this day and all days to follow....good luck.
