Revolution
After two years of adventuring, learning, and saving the world from the forces of evil, the Third Legion stands up to the greatest threat to the world since the Scourge, and with their allies, ensure that Cyric's efforts for subjugating the world are thwarted. This event also marks the completion of the Nexus Rituals, which brings down the Divine Barrier, which existed as the labyrinthine prison that trapped Tymora for centuries. The fall of Cyric and rise of Torm, Lyir, and Tymora, ushers in an era of good fortune, as the powers of light triumph over the dark.
Well, these mortals just continue to surprise me, even after all these years of separation. Where to even begin! With the Barrier removed, our access to the Material Plane is restored, and Tymora has been freed from her prison. With her released, and the restoration of Torm, it seems the two of them were able to put down Cyric. How funny that one we had paid so little attention to could turn out to be such a great threat. I suppose there is a lesson there in vigilance and complacency. With the Barrier down, of course many of us were prepared to return to the Second Seeds, to continue to guide their growth. However, in the hectic council meeting that followed, Tymora and Lyir made a rather compelling case against our forthright involvement, and argued isntead for a more subtle touch. It would seem each of them has had rather great success with their greatest devotees. Perhaps we will all be able to rely on such heroes in due time. Having met the newest of Lyir's Champions, I must say what he lacks in wit he certainly makes up for in heart.
And though ordinarily, we've expected ourselves and our celestial allies to lead the charge against those who would do harm unto the worlds, without us, humanity was left to fend for itself. Coventina tells me that in all the centuries of our separation, there has been no such group to stand up for us all of us like the Third Legion. I've asked her to find out why they donned such a name, but more importantly, is that they've shown us all what we once would never have believed. They do not need us. Perhaps they never did. It is always their choice; to believe in us, because of what we do, not who we are. I think it's time we all make sure we are worthy, and deserving, of that faith, instead of assuming we are.
Our hearts are light at the end of our long estrangement with humanity, and I must say I am overjoyed. With a clear view of their world, I can see countless stories that have only just begun. And someone will need to write them all down.
