The Star Seer Council

The Star Seer Council:

Leader:
Galilei Galilo, Male aacockra, from Rommaco, the highly controversial leader of the highly controversial group known as the Star Seer Council. Galilei is the latest in a long line of Seers elected to this position by the other members and he has taken a more active approach than most have in the past. Instead of holing up inside their tower all the time, Galilei has sent out teams of Star Seers to collect artifacts and research, regardless of who currently holds them. Not much is known about him as there are few who survive their encounter with him, but it is said he is a vulture like creature with an unnatural air of urgency about him, as if he knows something is coming and must prepare.
Champion:
Tycha Brahe, female elf, from Castonne, the oldest living member of the Council, Tycha survived the Devastation by entering the mighty Star Seer Tower and lending her magical gifts to their order, she was used to a certain level of luxury while in the elven empire and has refused to give that up, instead ordering or stealing large amounts of goods from caravans that pass by the tower to satiate her eccentric habits.
Economy:
Caroline Herschel, female human, from Saxony, One of the only people who its said has encountered a shard of Nioggdrasil crashing and lived to tell the tale, she encountered it while part of a Saxon retaliation raid on Angrose lands when the comet crashed before her, what happened next is a mystery but Caroline bears the scars of the meeting in the form of massive and multicolored burn scars across her entire body. She is obsessed with the comet and determined to understand it.
Magic:
Giordano Bruno, male minotaur, from Rommaco, considered crazy even by his own peers, Giordano is a seer that has gone blind after witnessing a stellar event in which he just so happened to be the only one watching. After being coaxed back from the edge of madness he described something that has been kept a secret by the rest of the council. It seems this event has given him unnatural abilities that he uses to maintain his position on the council as he tries to recreate what happened that fateful night.
Military:
George Dandridge, male human, from Saxony, a commander with great success on the battlefield that apparently came from his personal connection with the Star Seer Council, he would consult them for aid in his battle plans to win many battles and when it came time to pay up he decided to do so by joining their council and now serves as the head of security for the whole tower, ensuring this bastion of secret knowledge remains untouched from the many who seek to claim it. He takes pride in his work and collects trophies from those who fail to sneak in.
Diplomatic:
Abdi Ibn-Rahman, male aasimar, from Astrasan, the most often seen member of the council charged with maintaining the fragile neutrality of the Council, his job has only grown harder now that the council is electing to steal relics and knowledge from others. His true age is unknown as his body is unique among aasimar, possessing black as night skin with twinkling stars that stay perfectly still upon him, like he is a window to the night sky itself, his exotic appearance has called his race into question as well but he often just ignores such questions and focuses on his task of securing the safety of the tower from any nation seeking to plunder its vaults.
Base:
The base of the Star Seer Council is a magnificent tower, a marvel of ancient technology far surpassing the capabilities of modern methods. It was constructed with the sole purpose of studying the stars, as it sits atop the highest peak of Europa, perfectly positioned to view the heavens. The tower is protected by powerful enchantments and defended by skilled warriors, making any attempt to breach its walls a near-impossible feat. Even infiltration is difficult, as the gates are sealed shut and the wizards come and go via teleportation. The tower's walls appear to be made of ordinary rock, but they are actually stronger than steel, and the tower itself emits a strange glow when its powers are being utilized by the wizards inside. The Star Seer Council is a secretive organization, and very little is known about what goes on within the walls of their tower. What is known, however, is that the council possesses some of the most advanced knowledge of the stars and their mysteries
Goals:
The Star Seer Council's ultimate goal is to study the stars and the heavens to unravel the mysteries of the universe. They believe that there are secrets hidden among the stars that can only be discovered through their diligent observations and experiments. Some speculate that their true purpose is to unlock the power of the stars and harness it for their own purposes. Many outsiders believe that the Council is studying the stars to determine if the gods trapped in the heavens can be freed or if they are breaking free. Others speculate that the Council is studying the stars to gain a better understanding of how they operate and the ways in which they have trapped the gods. However, the true nature of their research is unknown to outsiders, and the Council maintains strict secrecy around their work. Some believe that the Council is studying something far more ancient and eldritch, perhaps a secret that has been lost to the world for eons. They believe that the answers to their questions lie somewhere in the stars and that they will not rest until they have discovered the truth.
History:
The Star Seer Council is an ancient organization founded in the early days of the Age of Apostasy, when the elves were at the height of their magical and technological prowess. The Council was originally established to study the stars and their mystical properties, which the elves believed held the key to unlocking many of the secrets of the universe. The Council's headquarters is a massive tower that was constructed on the highest peak of Europa, providing a clear view of the night sky. During the Devastation, the tower was abandoned as the elves were forced to turn their attention to the war and the protection of their people. The tower was eventually discovered by powerful wizards who had been drawn to its magical energy. These wizards, who had all been touched by the power of the stars, formed a new Council and resumed the study of the stars. Over time, the Council became increasingly secretive, rarely accepting new members and maintaining strict neutrality in all political and social matters. However, it is rumored that the Council has recently become more active, urgently searching for artifacts and knowledge related to the stars. Some speculate that the Council has uncovered new and dangerous secrets about the universe, which they are keeping hidden from the rest of the world.
