Sisters of the Sacred Sun
Sisters of the Sacred Sun:
Leader: Flora Nightingale, female elf, from Castonne, Flora is the founder and leader of the Sisters of the Sacred Sun, after witnessing the horrors of the Devastation she swore her life to making sure that such genocide could not take place again. To that end she founded this order whose mission it is to travel across the world to the most dangerous and war-torn regions to supply relief and aid through whatever means they can. She has been named an honorary human by the Junta of Saxony and is highly respected across the world for her kindness towards the suffering, regardless of what those suffering did.
Champion: Paula Fomer, female human, from Saxony, Paula became disillusioned with Saxony after taking part in a mass slaughter of an elven encampment that was traveling through Saxony, she escaped Saxony and traveled in search of some way to atone before finding herself starving on the steps to the Monastery of the Sisters of the Sacred Sun. Flora brought her back to health despite her insistence that she should let her die and she has since thanked her and made her mission her own as well. She is able to use her training as a soldier of Saxony to great effect when serving in the dangerous areas the Sisters of the Sacred Sun frequent
Economy: Muhamiri Astra-Yunus, female tiefling, from Astrasan, Muhamiri arrived one day without much explanation but her intentions was clear, she carried with her vast wealth that she donated to the Monastery and offered to join as their chief economist in order to atone for some sin from her past that she refuses to elaborate on. Where she got such wealth is a mystery as well, but what matters is that she is an expert in using it, she spends long hours listening to petitioners pleas and is able to discern who needs this money the most, giving it out freely without expectations of return and yet... every person she gives it to somehow manages to turn a profit and always donates back double the amount they took back into the Monastery's coffers.
Magic: Paraclesa, female Yuan-ti, from Rommaco, Paracleasa is a master of medicine, alchemy, and so on, a skill she uses when crafting the vast array potions used by the Nuns to treat everything from sword wounds to sickness. She spends all day hunched over her pot, stirring up a new batch to replace the ones that were just sent to those in need, she takes great pride in her work and often cries with joy whenever someone says they like the taste of the potions as she puts extra effort to make each drink enjoyable. She was slain during the red reunion and was reincarnated as an elf.
Military: Yana Popov, female Aasimar, from Rusonia, Yana served as a nun and healer during the battle of the Dread Harbor where she witnessed horrors that no person should have to see, these nightmarish visions keep her up at night and she uses this free time to instead care for patients suffering from similar issues. She continues to claim this sort of "trauma" is a mental wound that must be treated just as physical wounds are so she spends most of her time with military men and women who have seen great carnage as she tries to cure them of this trauma and cure their wounds even though she cannot cure her own.
Diplomatic: Rukmini Arundale, female loxodon, from lands in Aradia, Hailing from lands faraway to the east of Astrasan, Rukmini was simply a traveling Loxodon who wanted to experience the wonders of the world. She found herself almost directed or carried by an unknown force to the Monastary where she signed up to use her unique cultural position as an outsider to serve as the diplomatic leader for the nuns. As she has no ties to any nation in Europa it makes her somewhat more trustworthy than one whose loyalties could be questioned. She also has a great deal of experience in dealing with different nations during her travels though she finds meeting with them to be somewhat boring and would much rather spend her time healing and interacting with animals instead.
Base: The Monastery of the Sisters of the Sacred Sun is a grand complex located atop a large hill overlooking a small portside town. The structure itself is made of sandstone and rises several stories tall, with a soaring bell tower that is visible from miles around. The interior of the monastery is quiet and peaceful, with high ceilings and long, arched corridors that lead to private chambers for the nuns. The walls are decorated with beautiful frescoes that depict the Nuns greatest achievements and there are multiple beautiful chapels that are open to visitors of all religions, even a shrine to Martius can be found therein. The monastery also serves as a hospital for the sick and wounded. The nuns provide medical care and comfort to all who come to them, regardless of their social status or religious affiliation. Patients are given private rooms with comfortable beds and fresh linens, and there is a kitchen that provides hot, nourishing meals.
Goals: The goal of the Sisters of the Sacred Sun is to provide aid and medical assistance to those in need, regardless of their background, ethnicity, or religion. The organization is driven by the belief that every being deserves access to basic medical care and treatment, especially in areas where society has collapsed or is severely limited due to conflict or natural disasters. The Sisters of the Sacred Sun strive to provide help to people who would otherwise have no access to medical services. They work in some of the most dangerous and challenging places, from war-torn regions to famine-stricken areas and places devastated by natural disasters. The organization consists of skilled medical professionals who are willing to put themselves in harm's way to help those in need. They offer care and support regardless of the patient's background, and they do not discriminate based on race, religion, or any other factor. Their sole focus is on reducing suffering and providing care to those who need it the most.
History: The Sisters of the Sacred Sun was founded by Flora Nightingale, a female elf who witnessed firsthand the horrors of the Devastation and the ensuing genocide that followed. Her heart broke at the sight of her people being murdered in their droves and that her people had driven their former human slaves to such extremes, so she felt compelled to do something to prevent such horror in the future. She dedicated herself to the cause of mending the tears created by the gods through charity and curing the suffering of others. From its humble beginnings as a small group of healers traveling from town to town, the organization quickly grew in both size and influence. The Sisters of the Sacred Sun became renowned for their bravery, compassion, and selflessness, and they were soon active in every conflict that rocked Europa. They played a crucial role as battlefield medics during the battle of the Dread Harbor, where they risked their own lives to save the wounded, regardless of their allegiance, even grabbing cultists from the jaws of justice. Over the years, the Sisters of the Sacred Sun expanded their reach, founding a permanent monastary, providing aid not just in times of war but also during times of famine, disease, and other such afflictions. They cared for all who needed it, regardless of their nationality, religion, or even past sins. Their reputation spread far and wide, and they became known as one of the most effective and dedicated charities in all of Europa. Today, the Sisters of the Sacred Sun continues to carry out Flora Nightingale's vision, providing aid and comfort to those in need wherever they may be found. Their work is tireless, their compassion boundless, and their commitment unwavering. They are a shining example of what can be achieved when individuals come together with a common purpose and a shared determination to make the world a better place.
