Realms and Worlds

Realms and Worlds:

For many people living on Tetra, their whole world extends as far as the borders of their continent, such as Europa, Cafka, Aradia, Oceania or the fabled Vinland and perhaps others yet to be found. However, the learned (meaning perhaps you) would know of not only other worlds, but whole other realms of existence as well. The following comprises whatever knowledge can be expected to be known by those inquisitive and rich enough to look for it.

Worlds:

Yngir: The glowing ball of light that shines upon your world is commonly called the "Sun", however astronmers have deduced its actually a giantic ball of fire and have uncovered that it was called "Yngir" in ages past, calling it "the Sun" while in the presence of intellectuals is a good way of outing yourself as a peasant. Its unknown where its fancier name came from but it has stuck and is one of the few things actually known about the object that gives life and warmth to Tetra.
Tsaran and Nogan: At first Tsaran and Nogan were thought to be a single oddly shaped planet, it was only through the efforts of the Sultana herself that it was discovered they are two small planets locked in a close orbit around each other as well as Yngir. It is difficult to gather data regarding these planets as the light of Yngir blinds most who try to look at them, but they appear to be red and rocky.
  • It seems the Raven Queen and Fey Princes inhabit these planets somehow?

  • Tetra: Home of all known life in the universe, Tetra is 65% water and the land is divded into 4 known Continents: Aradia, Cafka, Europa and the mysterious Vinland. The world was largely explored and connected right up until the Devastation which saw it regress backwards hundreds of years, it is only now crawling out of its dark age.
Ogdria: The largest planet in the solar system besides Yngir itself, it has a dark blue color that shines with occasional flashes of light when stared at for long enough. The Star Seer Council have taken particular interest in this planet for some unknown reason. It is also in the same orbit as Thyssla, which lead some to speculate if the two planets will ever catch up to each other someday.
  • Where the Shining City and angels are located

  • Thyssla: Another red planet similar to Tsaran and Nogan, it is perpetually "chasing" Ogdria as they share the same orbit. This planet is by far the easiest to see and observe in the solar system, and as technology continues to improve back to its Pre-Devastation times the intellectual community is racing to discover the secrets of the closest planet to Tetra.
  • Where Sheol and the devils are located

  • Yggran: Perhaps the most frustrating planet to study as its orbit and the orbit of Ogdria, Thyssla and Tetra itself all seem to be colluding to hide it from sight, it took collaberation from many observatories and years of work to finally uncover that there is indeed a planet there.
  • Apparently a ruined world, site of many battles against the Outsiders, nothing but bones remains

  • Embessh: Next to nothing is known about this planet, including if it even exists as some claim it does, existing within a belt of asteroids and with many other planets in the way, coupled with its distance from Tetra and Yngir, its theorized what little can be observed is an optical illusion or something else altogether.
  • The prison for Emberessh, one of the Outsiders, a system of "Ring Guardians" are keeping it contained but they are failing and will likely fail fully in a few hundred years

  • Realms:

Shadowfell: The realm of death and order, a dark and gloomy place, the sun has been replaced by a strange glowing white orb that the residents call a "moon". There is no life here, only dead trees and undead that wander between them, the world is a recreated version of Tetra down to every last detail, with the Raven Queen herself taking great pride and effort to keep it that way, sometimes a handmaiden of the Raven Queen is found to have snuck into a new building just so she could map it out and report back to the Raven Queen for its reconstruction in her realm. Its inhabitants however are another issue, the realm is largely devoid of even undead, with a few zombie hordes existing here and there, the majority of undead remain underground in cemetaries or graveyards until they are called upon by the Raven Queen, who herself occupies a massive mansion that towers over the realm, always visible regardless of where one is currently located.

Feywild: The realm of life and chaos, an everchanging misama of colors, sights, smells and sounds. Its impossible to map or understand as it changes like a wild river every second, the longer one looks, the faster one goes mad with all that is happening around them. It is bustling with all manner of life, most of it bizzare, twisted and strange. Too many arms, heads or eyes, meldings of multiple creatures into one, the deeper into the ever-present forest you travel the stranger and darker they get until finally you arrive amidst monsters. The Princes here hold court in a new spot every day and night, hosting hunting parties, festivals, feasts, dances and more, depending on their mood it can be lighthearted and fun, or unknowably evil and demented, its speculated that the Feywild is just as deadly, if not more deadly to mortals than the Shadowfell.
