Knights of the Flaming Sword of Fire
Knights of the Flaming Sword of Fire:
Leader: Ramon the Lionheart, male human, from Briarland, One of the residents of Briarland that was raised up by Martius, unlike the rest of his skeletal kind, Ramon is possessed of a deep and burning desire to find one of the blessed blades of Martius so that he can use it to free his people of their curse, this drive allows him to overcome the intense depression that plagues his kin and he never rests, often traveling in his suit of armor, clanging about as he rides atop a deathly steed
Champion: Sir Gawain, male elf, from Castonne, an elf raise by humans who took him in after his parents were slaughtered by bandits, Sir Gawain has an incredible sense of chivalry and honor, honor so strong that he often fights with many handicaps and rules that he expects others to follow, though they are far too elaborate to keep up with
Economy: Jacques Coeur, male elf, from Castonne, a wealthy elven merchant who travels about the land investing and collecting on his investments, chief among them being local banks he has set up and operates as a place to gather money from his investments. However he never seems to turn much of a profit and remains at largely enough wealth to continue on as he has for an unknown amount of time. This leads to great frustration as his investments have been getting more and more risky of late
Magic: John Merlan, male human, from Saxony, an eccentric wizard who knows a little bit about a lot of things, his knowledge scattered about just like his wits. He is often undressed and has a fascination with fire spells in particular that gets him into a great deal of trouble. His craziest thoughts though pertain to the idea that the world is a constructed created by a being just to toy with reality and the people's it creates.
Military: Sir William Marshal, male human, from Saxony, the picture-perfect image of a knight in shinning armor, Sir William Marshal is a little full of himself due to his dashing good looks and skills with a blade. He is remarkably bland however, with not much more to say about him.
Diplomatic: Geoffrey de Charny, male elf, from Castonne, an older elf born during the Devastation, Geoffrey doesnt remember anything of that time but he does remember the kindness of the humans around him growing up, who likely felt guilty for the genocides and so treated him and his family well. He has taken this example and hundreds of others and has been compiling a book for the past couple centuries in which it discusses all manner of honorable and chivilrous ideals to strive for, his book is highly anticipated but as it has outlived some of its backers people are growing weary of waiting. He was slain during the red reunion and was reincarnated as an Aasimar
Base: The home base of the Knights of the Flaming Sword of Fire is a massive castle situated on the top of a craggy hill, surrounded by a moat filled with fire instead of water. It's an impressive sight to behold, with its towering walls and majestic towers reaching for the sky. and it's the home of the legendary knights who are always ready to ride out and seek the Holy Grail or any other quest that calls for their service. At the entrance to Castle, there's a large drawbridge that spans the moat of fire, and only those deemed worthy can cross it. The castle's interior is filled with lavish decorations, including intricate tapestries that depict the knights' greatest adventures. The throne room is located at the top of the tallest tower, and it's where the Grand Master of the Knights holds court. The knights themselves occupy the castle's barracks, which are spartan but comfortable, with basic amenities for their needs. The stables are located in a separate wing of the castle, where the knights' trusty steeds are housed and tended to. There's also a large armory, with racks of weapons and armor that have been used in many battles throughout the knights' long history.
Goals: The Knights of the Flaming Sword of Fire are on a quest for several holy relics that have been lost to the ages, including the Blessed Blade of Martius. It is said that the blade holds the power to free the people of Briarland from the curse that has plagued them. The knights believe that by finding the blade, they can put an end to the curse and bring peace to the land. Another artifact that the knights are seeking is the Flaming Sword of Fire, which is said to be capable of slaying even the most powerful of gods. The sword was once wielded by the Elven Empress herself, and many believe that it still exists somewhere in the world. The knights are determined to find the sword and harness its power for good. Another that the knights are on the hunt for is a holy mug that is said to hold the key to communing with the lost dwarves of legend. The mug's powers are said to be unlocked when one drinks from it, and in a drunken stupor, the drinker is able to uncover the secrets of the dwarves. The knights believe that finding the mug could unlock a wealth of knowledge that has been lost to the ages. Despite the fantastical nature of their quests, and the fact that they have found nothing, not even clues, the Knights of the Flaming Sword of Fire are steadfast in their belief that these relics exist and that they can be found. They have dedicated their lives to the pursuit of these artifacts, and they will stop at nothing to uncover the secrets they hold.
History: The Knights of the Flaming Sword of Fire is a relatively new organization, founded only 35 years ago by a group of eccentric and ambitious knights who were convinced that the world could be made better with the discovery and possession of powerful relics. They devoted their lives to the pursuit of these artifacts, going on extravagant quests that often defied logic and reason. Despite their best efforts, however, the knights have yet to find any of the relics they seek. Many have dismissed them as nothing more than a group of crazed adventurers, but the knights remain steadfast in their belief that their quest is important and worthwhile. They continue to scour the lands for any hint or clue that might lead them to the lost artifacts, hoping to one day change the world for the better.
