Physical Description
General Physical Condition
His frame is lightweight, not that of a warrior's, but of a lifelong scholar's. His hands look more accustomed to quills than weapons. Unfortunately he keeps his appearance hidden all of the time when in public, and almost always in private, except with those who have garnered his upmost trust and respect.

Due to his beliefs, Ariange keeps his appearance hidden from all except his most trusted allies.
Facial Features
All that can be seen are his eyes, white starlight eyes that sometimes glow with otherworldly power, a mark of his pact with the stars.
Identifying Characteristics
One can identify him by his starcloth burqa, his trademark look that keeps his race and features hidden from the world in an attempt to prevent racial discrimination in this cruel world.

HIs eyes glow white occasionally and are pupiless, a sign of his pact with the stars.
Special abilities
It has been said that due to his pact with the stars, he can walk in and out of starlight at will, teleporting short distances. He also is highly acclaimed at magic, casting many spells without tiring.
Apparel & Accessories
He wears a burqa of starcloth, a unique export of Astrasaan that is cloth that glimmers like the night's sky. He has a golden Astrolabe, a tool used to study and record the positions of the stars. He is often accompanied by a strange clump of lights and is often seen talking to them as if they are a research assistant.

Personal history
Having been saved from a life of hard labor as a slave by the Sultana, Ariange has dedicated his life to the pursuit of the Sultana's goals. He has studied the stars to the point where they have offered him the power to bind the evils of this world and the ability to allow the overzealouss of the gods the ability to feel the imprisonment of their gods.
Education
Ariange has studied at the Magic Academy of House Khayyam and the Grand Mosque of Arshsadon, run by House Aziz. He has spent the decades since the fall of Martius, after being brought into House Sharyar, in study of the stars and he can recall much of any star asked, it's prophecies, relation to the gods, which god it assists in imprisoning, etc.
Employment
Ariange is a part of the Sultana's harem, though he often spends his free time with Ja'far discussing the finer points of magic or his fellow harem member Duban studying the religions of Europa and more importantly about the gods imprisoned in the stars.

Graduated at the Academy of Astrasaan and is a priest of the Grand Mosque of Arshadan.
Failures & Embarrassments
Was born a slave and was a slave for nearly 20 years before the Sultana found his spark of talent and brought him into her harem. During a part of his international studies for the Grand Mosque, he did not stop a friend of his revealing their racial identity, and they were beaten and killed by a mob of people they had just saved.

Witnessed a friend of his get beaten and killed by a mob of people his friend had saved, and will not reveal his racial identity to anyone except close confidants.

He believes that one must shirk off their attachment to the gods and embrace the cammeraderie of mortality with all to bring forth peace and prosperity for all of Europa.

Having spent most of his time reading, Ariange is not adept at speaking with others, and would prefer to keep his nose in a book or gazing at the stars than hold a conversation.

He holds himself with the wisdom of scholar, but when nervous tends to play with his astrolabe, and when distracted with research, often speaks to his familiar on various subjects. He will speak boldly in the face of racial oppression and discrimination and will bind the hateful and discriminating when necessary to protect the oppressed and discriminated.

Aster- His familiar, a clump of tiny stars that follows him around and assist him with his studies and acts as a messenger at times when he is too busy to go himself.

Ariange is wellspoken despite his lack of conversation skills. He speacks in a polite tone until he detects poor restraint in racial discrimination to which he becomes shortspoken and drops politeness for a sharp wit instead.
