The Legion of Shadow

Structure

Though small, the Legion of Shadow is highly organized, operating much like a standard military unit with command staff and a Commander at the top, and going down like a standard military would have in terms of ranking structure. Infernal priests are also organized into the command staff to help them understand the bidding of their shadowy master.

Culture

Though they fight alongside the forces of hell, it should be noted that they are only loyal to Khasren, and it is said that Khasren has his own shadowy agendas. For this reason they can be found working alone across the continent in very scattered and small warbands, seeking to further their dark plans. Besides this, not much is known aside form the fact that they are highly skilled warriors, obsessed with darkness and gloom, and seek to drown the world in darkness itself.

Assets

Despite being small, the warriors of the Shadow Legion are elite and highly disciplined veterans, and are said to be able to fulfill most tasks given to them. They are also good at recon and espionage, for their dark master's plans must remain hidden from prying eyes.

History

Some say that in one's dreams, lie voices whispering sweet nothings into one's ear. They are always present, these whispers of dire portents and dread omens. However, some of these whispers aren't just random spirits going through the world, some are demons, and one demon thrives in shadow. This demon is only known by many names, from Father Shadow to the Dark Master, but the name he is most known by is Khasren. He is said to be one of the first great demons at the dawn of the world, and it is said that for reasons lost to time he was thrown into shadow. However, he thrives in this shadow, and so has whispered into the sleeping minds of mortals to sway them to his cause, some mortals eventually banded together as brothers in arms, and formed the Legion of Shadow. These small bands of warriors fight for their dark master and the forces of hell, although their allegiance will always lie most with Khasren. In recent days, they have been spotted across the world, doing strange tasks for their dark master, and some shudder to think of what their true plans are.
