The Kringan Raiders

Culture

Very, very little is known about the culture of the Kringan. What is known is they are a strict matriarchy, with mentions of "Queens" being the pillar of all their society. It seems the males mainly make up the work and military force, as no female Kringan have been encountered in raiding parties. This likely means that the females may take up a more domestic or even noble position within the society, though this is not entirely known. After this, details become fuzzy, as none have survived being captured by the Kringan, or they are simply too mental deranged and scarred to even begin to coherently discuss what they had to live through.

Public Agenda

Thier main motivation for raiding is not entirely known, but what is known is that they seem to make mention of "taking back what was once there's" apparently believing that the world was once theres, and that they will once again rule it by drowning the world in blood and fire

History

Nearly nothing is known about the Kringan, but what is known is some artifacts in styles similar to Kringan trinkets are dated as being as old as 8,000 years ago. This dates them as one of the oldest forms of life in the world, and according to them they were the rulers of the world. Though the exact origin of their fall from prominence and to retreat into the underground is unknown, but to this day they remain a serious threat as they raid many kingdoms and villages for supplies and slaves. A curious note however, is they seem to almost be scarred of drow, with some cases being reported that some warriors may suddenly act far more cautiously when confronting a drow. While this is not entirely known and no living drow has any information as to what could be the cause, some may think the Kringan had run ins with the drow long ago.
