The Frontier Princes
First of, this place does not exist. Do not go there, for where the made up stories say it is, place it in one of the most hazardous zones in the world. It is fabled to be beyond the Empty Range Mountains, and past the Goblin Bandit Kingdoms. Do not attempt to go here, lest you perish in travel. Nothing lies here.
With that out of the way, say you are foolish enough to believe such a place exists. Well, then you may be intrigued by the promise it offers. While the Church of the Flame and most kingdoms and nations of Nilush and even Orliea warn against this place, for they aren't wrong in the route being incredibly dangerous enough, there is a pull to it. As of now, the place is untamed, uncontrolled, save for the few petty principalities and city states in the land. No one power holds absolute dominion over it like most of the world. It is, a land where one can travel and for the first time in their life, be free. Now while for the vast majority of lowborn men and women who somehow manage to move there, in truth they will still serve their betters, but perhaps they will be one of the lucky ones? Perhaps their ruler will treat them fairly and justly? Or perhaps, brave adventures and people without anything left to lose, will rise above mortal men, and become kings, rulers, princes, and whatever gilded title they may crown themselves. It is a place with no security, so if one fails, they will die unloved and unrecorded or protected. This land, is where the law is the sword one carries at their hip. This land is one where petty nations rise and fall so frequently that bothering to get an accurate map of the area may as well be a running joke. This land is one where perhaps maybe, the lowliest scum or the finest examples of civilized folk may rise to sit upon thrones they crafted with their sword, and their blood.
Localized Phenomena
The Frontier Princes is home to many vile things. Tales of horrifying monsters, and ruins of strange and long dead civilizations also exist here. Some areas have strange arcane storms as arcane energy rains down in chaotic and wild ways, causing ruin and woe onto anyone found underneath.
Natural Resources
It is said one of the reasons people come here is for the rare resources that are here. This can mainly be attributed to its very close proximity to the Ruins of Ishtar, which itself has very rare and valuable resources locked behind the rocky walls of its tomb.
History
No one knows the history of this place, but some theories exist. Some think it was simply a unimportant piece of land, others think otherwise. Some of the ruins are similar to those found in Ishtar, leading some to believe this land to be of some importance to the ancient Ishtarns. However, in truth, no known historical records exist mentioning this place, and so it is likely no one will ever know the history of this land. The only history that can be observed is the countless petty nations rising and falling all too soon.
Tourism
As stated before, the people who go here varry greatly. Some are little more than brigands, murders, thugs, and far, far worse simply trying to escape from the law. Others are mercenaries choosing to believe the tales of a land where petty rulers are in constant need of work to be done, for their borders are ever threatened. Others are the unfortunates, lowborn who have no where else to go, and nothing left to lose. Whatever the case, all are left to fend for themselves. If they go by boat, they would be dropped off and simply left there, no way to contact the wider world. If they marched there, they would simply have to fend for themselves as they'd have to have been to even walk there. Whatever the case, all manner end up here, from wizards to dung covered peasants, and nearly all of them die very quickly in this hazardous zone, for all manner of goblin hordes, orc tribes, giant families, and demonic creatures prey upon them all.
