Biological Traits

The Disembodied inherit strange planar shifting powers from the great accident they endured. They can temporarily fade away from the Material Plane, and enter a sort of mirrored realm. They cannot interact with the Material Plane, but can still see and hear everything that is going on. They can also fall from great heights and survive due to their incorporeal like nature. They are also able to understand the arcane due to their magical nature.

Genetics and Reproduction

They do not reproduce as they only exist due to one arcane accident.

Growth Rate & Stages

Their age is drastically slowed down, to this day not a single one has died of old age.

History

In the year 3890, a wizarding tower was made in the mountains east of Ashenfeld and intended to be a new college of magic. Despite the Church's fervent protests, the wizarding tower would invite magical students of all creeds and beliefs to the tower, and for a brief 2 years, the wizarding community believed a golden age of understanding for their kind would begin. An age where wizards weren't viewed with suspicion or burned at flaming stakes.   This dream died in one spectacular event. Many of the most powerful wizards of the college would attempt to open a portal to a theorized Etheral Plane, to study and unlock a new form of magic. It was such a simple mistake, but one miss-utterance of a spell, but that is all it took for the spell to go terribly wrong. The portal would tear the college from out dimension and send it spiraling into the Ethereal Plane, never to be seen again.   Years later, stories came about of strange purple light emanating from the ruins, and people with strange powers introducing themselves. These first naïve disembodied were put to the torch, seen as contaminated abominations, and so the rest would go to ground and hide amongst the people.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Many view the disembodied as dangerous arcane abominations, and the Church of Light seeks to purge them from this world for the greater good of the world. If the accident happened to these hapless travelers, who knows what damage they could cause if a similar ritual takes place once again. For this reason many hide among the populace, and nowadays many see them as little more then rumor and myth.
