Culture and Cultural Heritage
While most Giants can barely have what can be considered a culture, the Children of Bakthor have a simple mantra: Might makes right. Life is simply a series of tests to prove yourself worthy of respect and power. Everything is built around a Giant seeking out the mantle of World Titan. For this reason, many can be found drunkenly fighting one antoher in tribes in between raiding villages for food, alcohol, or victims to prove their strength. However, some may try to work with smaller beings to show their mastery over them, believing the smaller races to be in need of a great leader such as them. This has also resulted in the practice ever sicne ancient times for mortals to worship the Giants as gods in their own right. The Children of Bakthor choose not to eat or torment these ones for they prove useful for a variety of tasks.
The feet of a Giant are symbolic, for it is how they interact with the world the most. This is why Giants love crushing things underfoot, for with it they can revel in their immense size and unstoppable strength. For this reason, punching is typically reserved for when something tall must be knocked down, or a threat is so great he must use his fists. Disputes of who should be leader of a "stomp", the name given to a small gathering of Giants, is settled with bare knuckle brawls or a wrestling match. Bending down to punch smaller foes is certainly effective and not entirely shunned, its just more practical to punch large things as bending down to punch smaller races can lead to immense backpain.
History
While not every giant calls themselves apart of the Children of Bakthor, this organization of tribes is more of a cultural ideal taking the small remaining giant communities by storm. It represents Giants who have found their true calling in life, and want to be something more then just drunken low life's. Of course this tale relates to the creation myth of the giants: the first Great Titan Yimnar. Yimnar was said to have been born of cruel makers, but he rebelled, for they were unable to contain his power. He would with one swing of his club shake the very fabric of space and time and create the heavens. He was now alone, as he sated himself by eating great comets and washing them down with the great oceans of the world. He would lay down, creating the chasms of the world. He slept with his mouth agape, where his drool created the rivers and his snoring would boom into the first thunderstorms. However, great stones in his stomach would form into the first giants. They would wish to escape this prison of flesh and so would brew alcohol so foul it caused Yimnar to retch and vomit them out. It was lucky that they did so, for soon after the Flame would come and smite the mighty Yimnar, and its body would grow over and form the world.
One of these new giants was the mightiest among them, Bakthor. It was said he was so tall as to almost be as tall as the their god Yimnar. The others would die out quickly, and it is said that Bakthor would hammer and shatter Yimnar's teeth in his escape, forming the first mountains. AS he wandered through life, it is said that he would seek to prove himself the mightiest of lifeforms, for in the Age of Giants many other races began to crop up. He would first approach the ancient Dwarves, and boast that he could tear a great volcano out of its roots. The horror on the Dwarves faces as he tore the peak of the volcano off and then shoved it upside down into the core caused him to let out a bellowing laugh as the Dwarves charged at him. He flattened them, which the Giants says explains how Dwarves are short. Soon he would then approach a great mountain in what would be the land of Ashenfeld, and challenged a mighty colossal dragon to a fight. The ensuing fight would turn the mountain into a volcano as he slew the dragon in a great explosion that spread ash across the land, thus earning the land its name. He would then in one great act flood the nation of Iadith, by accidentally belly flopping off the coast after tripping, causing such a titanic flood that now the nation of Iadith is a small island. stumble
However in the end, he had proven himself correct. He was the mightiest of lifeforms to ever walk the world. So it has been that since his death, his children have formed a sort of pseudo religion around Bakthor, worshipping his path to become the mightiest lifeform: The World Titan. These Giants are organized better then other Giant tribes, and seek to prove themselves in many different ways to show how mighty they are. Such gatherings may be joyous for them, but they are nothing short of cataclysmic catastrophes for other mortal races.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Many of the other races live in fear of the Children of Bakthor, for while giants are already bad enough, Giants under one collective goal is even worse. As such, most are treated as a kill on sight basis as they are scared of the destruction they can bring. However the Children don't share the same outlook, as many think of the smaller races as misguided and too stupid to understand the natural way of things. It is not right to hate the cow for simply being a cow, or the pig a pig for example. So while certainly many take a sick fascination with devouring smaller things and laying waste to villages, many are also open to be bartered and reasoned with.
