The Barlekor Woods

Legend tells of a strange happenings in the fabled lands of the Ruins of Ishtar. If the story is to be believed, a strange magical comet made of metal was said to crash down near the very edge of the Ruins of Ishtar. This ship would crash with great force, and then randomly alight with arcane energy. This energy would morph and twist the and around it, and turn the area around it into a horrifically overgrown and hostile swamp. The beasts of this land became titanic and somehow even more dangerous, adn the land is so hostile that even the trees are said to be deadly. However, the main attraction of this place, is that whatever this so called "ship" was, it left many artifacts scattered across the land of the Barlekor Woods. These relics are said to be able to reverse aging, grant immortality, supposedly bring back the dead, and other great rewards. For this reason, many of the savage hellish tribes and a few bands of foolish adventurers descend into these lands in search of these artifacts, and woe betide to any who find themselves in that horrific place.
