Satyr/Faun
Basic Information
Anatomy
Humanoid. It should be mentioned that Satyrs refers to the males while Faun referers to the females of this species.
Biological Traits
Satyr possess a form similar to humans, save for their two ram like horns and their lower torso being fur lined with cloven hoofs for feet, similar to goat. Intrestingly, there seems to be some mix of equestrian form in their legs as well, though they for the most part are similar to goats and other animals of that style. They can use their horns to ram their opponents and sometimes use it in sport against rivals. Satyr, due to their fey heritage, are also naturally resistant to magical effects, Their legs provide them the ability to jump better then other races, and they use this in their entertaining rituals. Satyrs are also naturally gifted at preforming in entertainment displays and many folk tales exist of satyrs wooing men and women after coming out of their forest. They are also said to have an almost magical charisma and this has gotten them out and in trouble many times. Indeed they are perhaps most famous for their "hedonistic" nature, almost being a biological need for them to indulge in vices (primarialy sexual, drug, alchoholic, dancing, and other forms of entertainment). They are also said to be beings whos emotions run wild, being able to be hilarious and easy going but also quick to anger if pushed and bullied into a corner.
Genetics and Reproduction
Satyr reproduce sexually, and gestation requires about 5 months on average. Both Satyr and Faun are highly fertile, but seem to be able to almost have "selective" fertility due to their fey herritage.
Growth Rate & Stages
Both Satyr and Fauns tend to mature at around the same rate as baseline humans
Additional Information
Facial characteristics
All sport horns on their head, either being small nubs or massive and intricate horns. This is a great source of pride for many.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
Since ancient days, they have scattered all across the continent of Nilush. They can either be found in forests near cities, or in the cities and villages themselves. Many of their nomadic herds/tribes tend to live in forests semi close to farms or just any form of civilization. However it has been noted that Satyrs and Fauns have gotten far more common to see in cities and villages.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Sensory capabilities are similar to that of a baseline human
Civilization and Culture
Naming Traditions
Satyr and Faun names are melodic, and relate to the Sylvan language. This is a far more "approachable" dialect of Sylvan however, and at times substitues wordss for elvish. They do not have surnames by and large, but seem to have a habbit of giving themselves and others nicknames.
Beauty Ideals
Satyr, being of fey origin, are considered unnaturally beautiful to many other races. This has led to them being involved in many scandalous and raunchy stories, and quite a few of them are true. This has led to them being popular in taverns or the entertainment industry.
Gender Ideals
Satyrs and Fuans are a egalitarian people
Major Language Groups and Dialects
As stated above, Satyrs and Fuans speak a sort of "bastardized" form of Sylvan.
Common Dress Code
Satyr and Faun typically wear little clothes save for loinclothes and other such undergarments. This has at times led to some trouble with civilized communities, as some Satyr and Fuans coming from the wild dont understand why everyone is so senseitive about wearing clothes. Strangely, the cold does not affect them as badly, maybe due to their fey herritage or some other strange quirk the fey work in.
Culture and Cultural Heritage
Hedonistic by nature, they love parties and so always seek to raise the mood of their current environment. They will join celebrations of holidays regardless of what they are for and try to put a smile on peoples face. Satyr are also known for being curious, willing to go to great lengths to achieve their desires. A curious act of them is you can sometimes spot Faun hiding around in forests to "woo" potential travelers and partners into following them into the forest for many acts of heated passion. They also tend to play jokes and pranks though these are rarely deadly, if ever. Being fey creatures, they are wild people by nature, and while many Satyr or Faun are not nearly as hedonistic as stories tend to make them out, it is true that if you spot a Satyr or Faun they are either drunk, on some type of drug, or attempting or currently in the act of trying to woo a partner. However this drive for pleasure also makes them incredibly loyal to the people they consider friends, and eager and excited adventuerers and exploerers. Curiously, these pleasure seekers are also known as being surprisngly wise, though they are typically hesitant to expose this to others. FInally, song and dance are said to be important to them regardless of the culture they grow up in, some say that perhaps Satyr hear the world diffrently or more intensly.
History
It is said the Satyr and Fuans are beings not of this world, while others believe them to be born of this plane. Many elven chronicles tell of strange goat men and women standing upright in the Wyld Realm before following the elves into the mortal world. Others say perhaps some strange fey spirits would change people near fey infested forests overtime into this species. Whatever the case, since ancient days there have always been tales of these goat horned men and women skulking nearby camps and villages, trying to entice people into the forests. They are revelrous spirits by nature, but rarely aggresive or mallicious, and though some misunderstandings did result in weapons being drawn, eventually the Satyrs and Fuans would grow less cautious of civilized settlements and be more open to them. However, these settlements were both equally equipped in indulging their fantasies as it was restrictive, leaving many to stick by nomadic herds and tribes in the forest. Nowadays, Satyr and Faun are a common enough site in most settlements, as well as it is known for their penchant for simple or carnal pleasures and their habbit of getting in and out of trouble. Small bands of nomadic Satyr do still roam the forests, even often times following along the paths of fairies, nymphs, and other fey spirits.
Historical Figures
A semi-common name in their history is of a being called Nenmos. Nenmos was the first Satyr, and said to have slept with the fairest elven maiden in the land to make his species of people. Regardless of the truth of this tale, Nenmos has taken on a semi-divine aspect of the Satyr and Fuan, as outside scholars theorize Nenmos to perhaps be a manifestation of the fertility and passion of the Fey and by extension the natural world.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Satyr and Faun are viewed positively by other races, though the more chaste or conservative or groups may view them as dangerous hedonists who seek to undermine the pure and orderly values of civilized society. It is for this reason that many Satyr and Faun are rebellious by nature, and always seek to raise the spirits of those around them no matter the rules. This has led to a stereotype of Faun/Satyr always looking to break up marriages and "woo" the scandalous man or woman away from their partner. While this is just a stereotype (exceptions always exist of course) it has been known to happen enough times to be noticed, though the only people really hurt in this situation are the persons now no longer married. As stated above, while they are certinely quick to indulge in pleasures and tend to take things more casually than seriously, make no mistake that they are a well learned, and agreeable people, and many bards either are or come from the blood of these smooth talking people.
Lifespan
Long lived, capable of living for 200-300 years.
Average Height

Average Physique
Said to be in perfect physique no matter what, amplifying their apparent "magical beauty" to the other races, similar to elves and other various fey touched species.
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
Skin tones are similar to the range that human skin tones can varry, though their lower halves tend to be similar to goats and other similar creatures, mainly sticking to brown colors.
