Primal Magic in The World of Tertara

The world is full of life, for is it the great gift and joy any planet may have to house life. The gods may deem that they made life, but the world has always had life in one way or another. Ever since the World Spear, the world has been infused with magic in all things. The world should have shatterted and broke upon being pierced, but the explosion of magic healed the world instantly, and infused every aspect with magic. While Akinstone and the fragments fall under the arcane, the natural world birthed a new form of magic: Primal Magic. This magic is in all things from the lowliest lifeform to the tallest mountain. It is nature itself, shackled and yet wild.   Primal Magic is largely associated with the fey and the natural order of things in the world. Primal Magic is actually some of the earliest and oldest forms of learned magic in the world. Shamans and druids even today use this magic to divinate and tap into the natural world around them. Druids espically use Primal Magic almost exclusively, and use it to harness the powers of nature and influence the natural world. The natural world however is as wild as is it orderly, and Primal Magic can be a dangerous form of magic to wield. Some argue it is actually the magic most prone to suffering magical accidents during spellcasting, though it rarely induces mutation. The specifics of primal magic are typically overlooked by non practioners, seen as strange chants and superstitious nonsense by many.    Primal Magic has a tendency to manifest strongly in some areas. These areas are typically steeped in fey creatures and energies, which are widely seen as adjacent to Primal Magic. Primal Magic is also used to explain why some creatures exist in the world, like Owlbears and Griffons and the like. Espically all the animals that grew to larger sizes than they ussually expect to in a natural enviorment. Primal Magic also is attributed to the rabid evolution of many species, and is largely responsible for the world we have today and the countless lifeforms that inhabit it.
