Leonin can mainly be found in southern Caral, or also known as the Sularan Plains, however they are very adaptable and can live in most environments, save for very cold environments that seem to give them trouble

Leonin are obligate carnivores and cannot subsist on vegetation

Facial characteristics

Leonin eyes are a blue-grey colour at first and begin to change to an orangey-brown by the age of two to three months. Leonin eyes are quite large with round pupils that are three times as big as a human's. Leonin males also sport a "mane" around their neck that not only help cool their body but also is a sign of a males "worthiness" to find a mate, Female leonins do not sport a mane.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Leonin perception is vastly better then human perception. They also have a white patch of fur below their eyes which helps to reflect even more light back into the eye

Gender Ideals

While males proving their "worthiness" to mates is common, the leonin are a egalitarian people

Courtship Ideals

Males prove their worth to a female either by martial prowess or showing off their mane. It has also been recorded they sometimes also do some sort of mating ritual dance to show ones desire for a mates love

Leonin is the main language, a language using roars and growls and can be somewhat hard for outsiders to mimic

Culture and Cultural Heritage

Leonin culture is very tribal, with a tribal chief in charge, with shamans under him and trusted counselors. Most leonin help hunt for the pride and patrol their territory against any hostile movement form the other prides, or outsiders looking to hunt and loot their land

History

Not much is known of the leonin, and the leonin don't have many written records of their history, but they were encountered by the Budo in their early history. After some tense standoffs, they would simply leave the leonin be, for traveling into their lands was risky enough as is, no need to anger a group of leonin to add to the danger. After that the leonin simply have lived amongst themselves to this day, but a few leonin venture out of their prides for various reasons to seek employment and adventure

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

While leonin rarely interact with the outside world, whenever they do interact so long as outsiders stay a safe distance away from their nomadic prides, the leonin are largely content to let outsiders be. Leonin mercs or adventures are known to be loyal and very strong, making them excellent mercenaries and bodyguards
