Personal history

Lady Aquitaine le Veston is considered a crucial figure in Vestoni history, right under the names of Giles and the Ladies. She was married to Giles as he liberated Courzieu, and he and her loved each other greatly. She busied herself organizing the nation that was freshly united as her husband rode out and fought off all manner of monsters and barbarians. However her story does not largely pick up until after Giles was slain during a great battle. As his body was carried away by the Ladies upon a magical bot to the Twins realm, Lady Aquitaine became the sole ruler of Vebastonne. The nation looked to her eagerly, for the nation was still young and the future was anything but assured.   Her most famous act was when during her rule of keeping the land united together, a large band of Vikingir would invade Vebastonne, seeking loot, sacrifices, and revenge for their slaughtered kin some years earlier by Giles forces. They would butcher and maim any who got in their way, but the forces of Vebastonne did do great battle with them. While Lady Aquitaine did not intend to fight on the front lines, a ladies place at this time was still not on the battlefield proper keep in mind, she did lead somewhat close. She would order her most loyal knights of the round table to lead a surprise offensive that saw the entire force of raiders hit from the side by one great cavalry charge. Manny ended up surrendering to the Vestoni, and thought that they could buy their way out with the spoils they did have. However, Aquitaine did not approve of the idea of simply letting them go, so she personally went to the site of the battle at Cleryonne and did decree what would be known as "The Bloody Verdict of Cleryonne". She would take up a sword, and personally execute all 5,000 Northmen prisoners as a message to the Northmen to think twice from invading the fair lands of Vebastonne. It has been reported that the ground was quite literally, awash with blood, and the heads were implanted on spikes resulting in a massive field of severed heads. The invasion completely halted, with the Vikingir retreating after this terrible decree. Vebastonne was saved through the harsh but necessary action of Lady Aquitaine.   After this, her rule largely saw to strengthening the borders of Vebastonne. She also laid down the groundworks for many of the systems still used today, and saw that the Grail Quest was codified and the rules of the quest enforced. She also laid the framework for the Damsels of the Twins to form in the future. However her rule was cut short as she fell ill and died, with it being discovered that she was poisoned by some sort of magical poison. The nation was thrown into chaos, and the noble dukes almost came to blows from ancient grudges before a new king did draw the sword from the stone, and establish himself as king. However all would remember Aquitaine as one of their greatest rulers, and to this day is the only Queen to rule in absence of a husband or male heir. She was entombed and is hailed as a saint of the nation.

Morality & Philosophy

Lady Aquitaine was known for her calm and cool demenor, but also known to display a fiery wrath that surpassed even that of a chivalrous knight fighting the hated enemies of the ladies. She was a very traditionally minded woman even despite being the sole ruler for some time, and would have a lasting impact upon the people of Vebastonne due to her reign.

Reign

Due to how incredible her reign was, even if it was cut short, much of Vebastonne looks up to Lady Aquitaine to this day. A popular saying amongst the Vestoni and some foreign scholars is they are the Inheritors of Giles, and the Children of Aquitaine. Her tomb is enshrined in Courzieu to this day, and many pilgrims travel there to pray in front of her tomb.
