Harengon possess the ability to "hop" wit their legs far higher and further then other races, which can help them quickly escape danger. They are also well adept at surviving falls falls and other agile activities, their hopping proficiency giving them an edge in any activities that require the use of ones own agility

Harengon reproduce sexually, but reproduce very fast, with gestation lasting around 38 days

Harengon cannot stomach meats, so usually subside off of plants, with their favorite being carrots

Facial characteristics
Whiskers, and other features similar to a rabbit. Harengon also posses slightly larger teeth then a human, which help them bite into some of the tougher vegetation

Harengon are known to be a bit better at sensing incoming danger and threats then humans thanks to their large ears

Naming Traditions
Harengon naming traditions are a personal thing to the Harengon. It goes as follows:
1st son named after paternal grandfather,
2nd son named after maternal grandfather,
3rd son named after father,
4th son named after father’s eldest brother,
5th son named after mother’s eldest brother
1st daughter named after maternal grandmother,
2nd daughter named after paternal grandmother,
3rd daughter named after mother,
4th daughter named after mother’s eldest sister,
5th daughter named after father’s eldest sister
Major Organizations
The Shire Patrol is a famous militia group in Morunshire that patrols the land and keeps the peace. They have also been known to join the armies of Ashenfeld in the times when the kingdom was united and served as fast ambush troops, earning many great honors to the surprise of many who viewed the Harengon as "harmless jolly people"

Courtship Ideals
For a Harengon to earn the right to ask for the partners hand, they must collect 10 special flowers known as Vleet Flowers in a single night. The one proposing cannot ask for help, and due to how scattered the flowers are, they have to hop as fast as they can between all the spots to collect them. After they collect the 10 flowers, they are allowed to marry if the parents deem the partner worthy.
Another common tradition is that during the dance, one partner has to have at least one foot on the ground at all times, or else evil fairies would come and whisk one of the partners away. This tradition likely came up form their fey heritage

Common Etiquette Rules
Its common etiquette to thump the right foot before knocking, so as to give the person two alerts of a presence at their door: one with the thump and two with knocking on the door. This is because it is considered an insult to "waste ones time" in traditional Harengon culture
Common Dress Code
Many Harengon wear clothing or armor with fur integrated with the clothing, so as to provide comfort. Most of this fur is wolfs fur or other large predators. They also believe it makes them more intimidating
Culture and Cultural Heritage
Family is everything to the Harengon. Due to how many kids families have, it is gravely important for them to give as much attention as possible to each and every one of their children, and also each other. It is because of this that if a member of the family sets out to become an adventurer, there is a grand feast to be had to mourn that a member of the family will likely not return for some time, if at all. It is both a proud and sad affair as its good the leaving member is going to do what they want, but sad that they have to do it so far from home. Though if they return home, another grand feast is had to celebrate the return of a long lost son or daughter
History
Harengon are strange, in that they are of the Wyld Realm in origin, but they almost immediately were left in the Mortal Realms. They took up the small province of what would be known as Mournsshire and would become very defensive of their shire. For good reason to, as occasionally humans would try to raid the shire due to how abundantly fertile the land is. These occasionally raids would continue until the early formation of the Kingdom of Ashenfeld, when during one pivotal battle form some ogres harassing a nearby village, a group of Harengon warriors would help fight off the ogres for they were much faster then the warriors of Ashenfeld who had to ride out from a nearby castle to the village. This would earn the respect of many and soon the king would send envoys to Morunshire, and then Mournshire joined the kingdom as one of the lands most fertile provinces. To this day they remain as a fertile province of the land, though with the absolute chaos of the kingdom falling apart around them, many Harengon are shoring up their defenses to hold off any who seek to ruin their beautiful shire.

Many view the Harengon as jolly family people, but many also know that they are skilled warriors, so most other races respect Harengon, besides the occasional joke about the "thumpers" or "hoppers" as some call them
