Specialized Equipment

Galtier sports a sword he has had since birth, which has been blessed by a vision of the Lady of the Lake named the Champions Blade. It was blessed during a vision where when he lost his sword before a battle, he would pray by a lake and a pale, slender hand would emerge from the water holding the newly blessed blade. Galtier carries upon his back and into battle the magical Banner of the Fluer Unbroken, which sports a great Fleur de Lys symbol that is said to cast away projectiles within a radius of it. Both warriors ride upon horses, with Galtiers horse being named Hengoren, and Patsy riding the horse named Paddy.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Galtier's history begins when he began his time as a Knight Errant in the year 4225. He would ride around righting many wrongs but nothing truly worth of note, which did upset him quite greatly. However times would change when he met up with a peasant gong collector. So awe struck was Patsy by the sight of a knight that he prostrated himself before Galtier and begged him to take him along his quests as his retainer. Apprehensive at first due tot he fact that it was likely to be dangerous to Patsy, Galtier eventually accepted when a crowd began to form seeing the commotion. While unsure at first, his opinion of Patsy wildly changed when during a trip into the woods to hunt a giant boar harassing a local farmer, Garuuk Blood Reavers charged fourth at them. During the fight a terrible Slaughter Centaur beheaded Galtiers horse and he was pinned on the ground by his horses body. Just when he thought his doom was at hand, he heard Patsy let out a bellowing war cry as he charged the Slaughter Centaur with poleaxe in hand and drive off the Garuuk himself. Helping Galtier from under his horses body, Galtier and Patsy would soon become inseparable friends as they continued questing around the realm.   The true claim to fame of this unlikely duo would be when Galtiers father did bid Galtier and Patsy to slay a great black dragon named Tynnoss, The Bringer of Death. The fighting was fierce as the two despite all odds, would emerge bloody but victorious. After healing from their wounds, Galtier was named a full Knight Gallant, and Patsy to be Galtiers personal Yeoman. Since then, Galtier with his new title of Dragons-Bane, now travel the lands in search of epic tales and mighty deeds to preform in the name of fair Vebastonne.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Galtier is the middle child of a noble family, and so has drawn the short end of the stick when it comes to inheritance. As such, Galtier seeks to prove himself to his father and his family, and though this need to prove himself has gotten him in trouble more then a few times, he and Patsy always seem to make it out ok.   Patsy's motivation is far more simple in comparison. Patsy has always been awed by the tales of great knights, and though he was never confident enough or chosen to go upon the Rite of Knighting, he figured the best way to escape the job he didn't much enjoy and to live those in those epic tales was to follow Galtier and swear allegiance to him. As such, Patsy seeks only to serve Galtier faithfully as both a retainer and loyal brother in arms.

Social

Contacts & Relations

Throughout their travels, Galtier and Patsy have met many souls over the years. Some being an Elf  wizard from a breakaway of Iadith that living on a small island to escape the Empires more conquering attitude named Mellion, a master duelist from the kingdom of Avaro named Raphael Leon Vega Ramirez, a mighty barbarian rouge named Bori who is as adept with his words as he is his battleaxe, a Wood Elf named Ilrane Blueshade who is herself a powerful fey spellcaster, and a Drow assassian turned sorrceror named Anraethi Gloomreaver who though had her reservations of Galtiers wild band of bastards has found the company to at least be entertaining. Though this party does at time go its separate ways, fate has a very strange way of reuniting them from time to time in cases of grave peril, and so Galtier and Patsy lead this band of diverse outcasts in whatever quest is deemed to be of most grim importance at the time.

Family Ties

Patsy's family died when he was young, at about 8 winters of age due to plague. Patsy does not know of any other living relatives he may have. Galtier on the other hand has family, being 3 sisters, 2 bothers, and his mother and father. His Father is a Lilian Knight named Remon "Ogre Killer", who rules his small keep and village with great vigilance. His mother is one Alesia de Saintyon, a caring mother who manages much of the politics of the village. Galtier's brothers are his older brother Clamens de Saintyon, and his younger brother Helyot de Saintyon. His sisters are his two older sisters, Nezot de Saintyon who is herself an aspiring knight errant, and Isabel de Saintyon, a proud noblewoman with a great gift for magic.

Religious Views

Both Galtier and Patsy believe in the twin goddesses of Vebastonne, Lilia the Lady of the Lake, and Morgina the Great Enchantress.

Wealth & Financial state

Being a nobleman, Galtier has acess to a modest amount of wealth, though in truth due to his travels he cannot readily access most of it, so he must rely on the funds he and Patsy raise while traveling the lands of Vebastonne and sometimes beyond.
Species
Honorary & Occupational Titles
Galtier de Saintyon has acquired a few titles, with the name "Dragons-Bane" being the title he wears with the most pride for his great battle with a dreaded Black Dragon, unleashed by a Drow Sorcerer in a bid to raid a nearby village.   Patsy has been gifted the title of "The Brave" by his lord Galtier. This title has been given as though he began as perhaps the lowliest peasant in his village, he would through sheer grit and surprising determination prove himself to be an utterly fearless and loyal warrior, and Galtier can now think of no one else he'd rather have at his side.
