Biological Traits

Fairies are a wee folk, though not as small as their sprite or pixie friends. Fairies are inherently magical, favoring nature magic to help maneuver around forests. Fairies also have wings that resemble butterfly like wings, and use these to swiftly get around where they need to go. However they cant fly easily if they are wearing very heavy armor or other forms of gear.

Genetics and Reproduction

It is not entirely known how fairies reproduce, but gestation takes about 6 months. Some say fairies simply can simply decide they want to sire a child and go through some fey ritual to become pregnant. Any attempts at asking a fairy about how they reproduce is swiftly dodged by them, likely harkening back to their trickster nature as fey.

History

Fairies are an unknown race, but it is said they were one of the first races to be born in the Wyld Realm. When the Realm would become tainted, many would scatter to preserve their race. Many would follow those that became the elves out of the Wyld Realm and into the mortal realm, where they hid in forests laced with fey magic. There they remain, scattered and isolated, but not unbroken. Many are tricksters by nature but like to remain hidden. A few, however, are stricken with wanderlust and seek adventure.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Fairys are typically either seen as tricksters or innocent wanderers. They typically integrate easily into wider society, being able to help around and provide some entertainment, granted they are sometimes viewed as troublemakers.
