Ednivari, The Third Layer
The Third Layer, is unlike any other, for it is a land not of horror but at first unrivaled beauty. it is a land of prefumed gardens, majestic forests, rolling rivers, and beautiful palaces. It is a land where there are forests clearings of tents for the young lovers to claw and embrace one another, a land where birds chirp peacefully, and where demons and devils of beauty rather than horror are always nearby to cater to every desire one may have. This land is teeming with souls lost in this eternal loop of pleasure and decadence, and at first one may be forgiven for thinking this a land of good rather than evil.
However, this layer hides its own hidden horror and secrets, for it is not just pleasure that fuels this land but excess. As one goes further into the layer to the central point of power, one can hear screams of pain and despair. Bizzarely enough, these screams are mixed with pleasure, as the line between pain and pleasure no longer exists in this layer, and the devils know how to play this game oh so well. Where every need and desire is caterted too, one will find that soon enough they must have more and more to feel anything. One of strong enough will can see the burning hunger and barely disguised mallice behind the faces of the succubi and inccubi of this land. Forests of beauty become forests drowned in blood and viscera, where people are maimed and tortured just for people to find satisfaction in it. Where violence becomes pleasure, and where all are driven to frenzied orgies of bodily horror and gore. The devils that live here grow powerful of the excess of the souls trapped here, and oh are they strong indeed.
To get to the fortress of Lilith, one must pass through the 6 rings of pleasure and temptation, being: Avidity, gluttony, carnality, paramountcy, power, and rest. All of these circles contain their own horrors, as they tempt the travelers like never before, and only the strongest of willed adventueres or travelers could ever hope to make it past them into the ultimate goal: Lilliths home at the Thelemic Cathedral of Endless Pleasure. At the Thelmeic Cathedral, guards stand ready, the most common being the dreaded Eunuchs (these daemons are a type of lust demon made to revel in the pleasures of flesh and carnality, but Lilith "gifts" them a plague of maggots that gnaw and eat away their sexual organs and pleasure nerves. This results in the daemon being driven to complete madness, and this curse only grants small, hollow satisfaction from killing their enemies. This, with the promise that the most favored Eunuch's may have Lilith reverse the curse on them, make them the most dreaded beserkers of the third layer). Succubi and Inncubi guards lounge about the palace, and it is said they love welcoming visitors to the palace, for in it lies the impossible test. Inside, past the corridors of pleasure and screaming, lies the decadent throne room of Lilith. To gaze upon her is to have ones very mind explode in a flury of sensation and emotion. This is the impossible test, to gaze upon the embodiment of excess, and survive.
