Dwarven Ancestor Gods

The dwarves do not worship gods that have existed since time immemorial. They instead worship god beings known as the Ancestor Gods. These beings were the first and greatest of their race, and it was thanks to the first one, Thordrindal, that the race exists as it does today. They have ascended beyond the physical realm ever since the tragedy of Vag Daruhl, but they have since become one with the stone and world. They are dedicated to watching their children and keep them safe whereever they may go, and to let them as well watch over their children. The Ancestor Gods are as follows:
  • Thordrindal, Cheif amongst the pantheon and the Ancestor God of Mining, Stonework, Artisans, and Smithing
  • Sudgi, Ancestor God of Gold, Home, Healing, and Drink
  • Ikogem, Ancestor God of War, Warriors, Honor, and Grudges
  • Zelvi, Ancestor God of the Oreshaping, and of the many Crystals and Ores in the realms
  • Mukem, Ancestor God of Runesmithing and Magik
  • Roluc, Ancestor God of Engineering and Technology.
  • Gazger, Ancestor God of Death and the Underearth
The Dwarves honor and remember their ancestor gods, carving their names and faces into their mountain homes to give them more eyes to see. They can call upon their name to give them powers and blessings in life, and it is said that sometimes they whisper great ideas and secrets into dwarves worthy of their wisdom. There exists a chamber in the deepest part of the first birth hold that houses great statues of all the ancestor gods, and even after the birth hold fell to goblins this chamber has not yet been breached. Some dwarves say that eventually, the ancestor gods will reawaken and emerge from their statues, and bring the dwarven people to ultimate victory.
