Domiel, The Champion of the Church
The Light Bringer
In truth, little is known of the past of this great hero, but the Church of the Flame has propped him up as their champion. After the chaos of the death of the chosen one, Aranel, the people cried out that the end of days was upon them. Many still do take to the streets and cry that the end of the world is upon us all, however the Church needed to keep the people calm. So it was that a year after Aranel's death, they brought fourth a new hero, one who's past is a closely guarded secret. This new warrior was simply named Domiel, and is said to be a being of good and virtue, ever striving to live up to the holy grace of Aranel. His legend has grown, for it is said that he traveled into the Forbidden Lands and slew a hell worshiping tribe single handedly, not suffering a single scratch to his form. His greatest feat however was when a portal to hell opened up within the lands of Ashenfeld sometime during the year 4215, in which he was mysteriously already at the scene when the portal was opened. Before the maddening legions of hell could spill out, he charged fourth with his gleaming blade and shield and jumped into the portal. A few minutes passed as after about 20 minutes some demons popped out screaming and wailing, before being cut down by the soldiers around the portal. Domiel followed after, with a gleaming silver casket chained to his back covered in inscriptions. He said not a word, but left the casket at the doors of the church before leaving for his own private chambers. The casket contained the body of Pope Isadore Landon "The Warrior Pope", thought forever lost by demonic trickery, and the casket detailed that while an hour had passed in the world for Domiel it was a hundred year crusade in which he ravaged the lands of hell with fiery vengeance. He would be known as the bane of hell for this act, and nowadays his name is whispered as one who may stand a chance to bring light back to the world in the name of the Flame. His presence on the battlefield bolsters the hearts of the faithful, and in towns many openly weep and prostrate themselves before him and his divine being, and yet he has never uttered a word.

Specialized Equipment
He has a great gleaming sword known simply as the Light Bringer, being a sword that was kissed by Aranel when a lowly soldier begged Aranel for a blessing. It is able to cut through armor like it was but paper, and burns with the holy wrath of the flame itself. His shield is simply known as the The Visage of Saint Wayland, an ancient saint that was said to be so pure he reflected the energies of hell back at their sender. It is a shield made of blessed stained glass paintings, lovingly painted by the greatest painter in the world, one Rinaldo Querini.
