Naming Traditions

A changeling might use a different name for each mask and persona and adopt new names as easily as they develop new faces. The true name of a changeling tends to be simple and monosyllabic; however, there are often accents to a changeling’s name that are expressed through shapeshifting, something single-skins will likely miss. So, two changelings might have the name Jin, but one is Jin-with-vivid-blue-eyes and one is Jin with-golden-cheeks. Changelings have a fluid relationship with gender, seeing it as one characteristic to change among many others

Changelings have an interesting relationship with gender, in that many simply don't think of gender as a strict hierarchy and more of a fluid, changing thing. Many changelings don't really attribute gender to one another, though it is possible some changelings may have a favorite form that is a specific gender. However even with this, they usually don't consider themselves that particular gender, instead choosing neither. However, this can change if a changeling was raised by other races who have a strict gender hierarchy, where they may view themselves as a specific gender, but with the ability to change appearance at will
