Acedikan, The Fourth layer
Woe to those who find themselves in the fourth layer of the Nine Hells, for this is the most putrid land one could possibly imagine. This is the layer of Acedikan, however its most famous name is Moz's Garden. It is the realm ruled by none other than Mother Mozras, the Arch-Devil of Sloth, Decay, and Plague. She is the corrupting boils that build upon ones skin, and she is the horror and stagnant rot of the great decay of swamps. Here in this land, every disease both known and unkown runs rampant, with demons and devils afflicted with all manner of diseases and rot. Every step is a titanic struggle of constitution before one either succumbs to disease or is literally pulled down and drowned in the bogs and swamps of the land.
This land has always been this way, for stagnancy and decay are eternal constants. Mozras tends to her garden of plagues and flowers with the loving touch of a caring mother. Her demons and devil children appear almost jovial as they write with maggots and boils, and it is said to even gaze upon this land from a distance is enough to make one vomit. Some cults worshipping Mozras seek to enter into here, though they are not able to fully enter they can sometimes enter a sort of "demi-plane" version of Acedikan if Mozras blessess them. Such trips are rarely a two way trip, and those that do come back are changed forever into horrifying heretics and monsters. The demons and devils of Mozras are sent out to spread their blessings of plague and sickness to the world, and to eventually see the whole world stagnant and than rot.
This is a land none should seek to vist: however there is one secret that some hold onto. It is said somewhere in this realm, deep in the deepest swamps and forests of Acedikan, a great goddess of healing resides trapped. Some believe it to be the old elven goddess of healing, and it is said that though her blood is used to pervert her power into plagues, if freed she could cause havoc on Mozras, potentially even kill her and the realm itself. Whishful thinking and fairy tales to be sure, but some elven adventuers cling to this faint hope, that perhaps one day their kind could prove instrumental in the eradication of the hells, if such a thing is even possible.
