Only a desire for vengeance, a need to cull a threat, or a similar event can take an aarakocra away from their homelands, or home skies in their case.

History

It si said that in ancient days, a few dragons decided to experiment with magical spells in creating life. One of these results was by pure accident the aarakocra. The aarakocra would quickly fly away, scared of the dragons and scatter across the world. They remained up in high places for so long that for the longest time no one even knew of their existance. It was only when the first discovery of aarakocra happened in the yea 2576 that people came to know of the aarakocra and their kind. Since then the aarakocra have been reclusive, but those that come down from their heights to adventure are an interesting sort to be sure.
