Selenga Ootung
Selenga Ootung
Selenga Ootung was a Hanuri outlaw, active from between 44 PC and 54 PC in the Hanur Gap. Born in 0 PC to a Penal family, she rose to prominence in the years following the collapse of the People's Republic of Lordania. Historical records show that she was part of a minor cell of the Tersten Resistance in the Hanur region, however these cells did not lower their arms following the Great Revolution, and instead became minor warlords and bandits in the region. Ootung rose to infamy as a leading figure of the Morita Sisters, one of the many outlaw gangs that took control of Hanur. Attempting to found a semi-nomadic outlaw-bandit state in 48 PC, she launched an attack on the largest city in the region, Walong, but was defeated. Following this defeat, both Ootung and the Morita Sisters fell out of influence in the region, settling on bandit raids on isolated mountain trails. The last of the outlaw gangs were rounded up and disbanded by 2251, with Ootung herself being killed in a shootout with the Tersten Army alongside the rest of her gang in the Siege of Logan in 54.
In the years following her death, she has obtained a cult following as one of the many famed outlaws of Tersten. The 'feared' Khanum Selenga's likeness is sold in tourist traps across the region of the Yukela Pradesh, with many songs and films being made about her life and death.
