Proficiencies and Skills

Proficiency

What does it mean to be proficient at something? Simply put, it means, "You do thing good." For any skill, saving throw, weapon, etc. That you're proficient with, you add a passive bonus to dice rolls with it. Now this can change depending on your level of proficiency which will be detailed later. You'll most often find proficiency bonuses from your class and racial feature as well as background (will be added in later). Whenever you make die roll using an ability of some sort that you're proficient with, you add your proficiency bonus to that roll. As well, in certain cases, you may require a level of proficiency to be able to attempt at using that device. If you attempt to cast a spell and you are not proficient, you'll automatically fail.
Listed below is the Proficiency level chart.

Gaining Proficiency Levels

Whenever you would gain a PRF level, read closely as sometimes it may be worded as such, Your Proficiency Level is increased to 3rd level, as compaired to, Your Proficiency Level is increased By 3 levels. Meaning that one is a flat perk, while the second one adds to your already present bonus. If two different sources would increase your Proficiency level, you always choose the greater one. They do not stack, however, if you have a flat perk and a feature that boosts your skill, you do add those together.
