Reylar

General Description

The Reylar family are the High lord of the Region bordering the Ulairi Swamp. They settled several families in the chain of forts that means it is almost impossible to get a force through the swamp without alerting them.

They are strong people and while their region does not produce goods or food it does protect the rest of the regions, several noble families in their regions trace themselves back to the Reylars.

The Reylars began as Dukes under the servitude of the Tendurils, however, towards the Maelstrom, the distant and cold High Lords of Teorann Tielte were beginning to lose control. During the Chaos of the Maelstrom, the Reylars would rebel, taking several Dukes with them, to support the winning side. As a reward, they were made High Lords of Teorann Tielte.

Batavi:

The Reylars having had to spend centuries fighting back against constant Forsaken incursions have worked on training a unique military unit to help with the defence of the empire. The Batavi, [Bat-AR-vee]  were quick and lightly armoured but had the strength of a heavy cavalry. When the Titan fell, this military unit were wiped out and have yet to be replaced.

The Maelstrom

The Reylars as Dukes were hearing more and more stories about how southern towns were being raided and destroyed by Forsaken Elves. The second son, Carindon Reylar would set out on a journey with a small band of knights, with a single aim, to build a string of forts designed to block key paths into and through the Ulairi Swamp, to prevent further incursions. Each fort ends with thir, as a sign that they are a fort.

The Reylars were able to take the throne of Teorann Tielte, however during the final waves of the Maelstrom, during the Blood Betrayal, the Reylar and the local Dukes, would support Daethi Glacier in maintaining her grip upon the throne.
