Elven Exodus
Prelude
By the first age the Tehoan began to call themselves and their people, the Island Elves. Before the splits led by Erthad Glacier and Nelfir Elmlock, they referred to themselves simply as the High Elves. There was no separation, until they left their home lands.
Elven Exodus
Snow Elven Exodus:
The Glaciers and their nobles would leave because of the nature of the Tehoan Dynasty had become controlled by a mad ruler. He had begun to claim control of the every day life of his subjects making it impossible to live a life without his interference. There are a few other stories on why the Glaciers left Ardamire, these include; They were sent as colonists by the Tehoan Dynasty to expand the empire further east. That Erthad's father, had been executed for treason after a failed coup tried to remove the Tehoan emperor from power.
The other option was that Erthads father was murdered by another noble, who had manipulated the emperor into allowing him to wipe out the Glaciers for some made up crime. Most agree whatever happened, it was either caused by or resulted in the death of Erthads father, who's name is now long lost to time.
Either way, the Snow Elves fled in four waves; The first wave included; Athlassans, Carnens and Glaciers. The second wave included; the Vanos. The third wave included; The Tendurils. The final and fourth wave would include the Culverins, Reylar.
The first wave landed and began to found Nesamir, once the city was built, the Carnens would leave and head north. The Athlassans would flee after a scandal with Erthads daughter.
