Aasimar
Biological Information
The below information is designed to be used to help build your character. Some of the content is from the players handbook and other D&D sources, others are completely new creations of the Make A Saving Throw Team.
Species Features:
Aasimar contain the blood of immortals. They track their lineage to a being descendants of either a Pythia or a Delos, angelic like beings that are immortals of Onir. Servants of the God of Light. By breeding with Mortals they infected them meaning that while the children born weren't immortals, they would eventually take on their look and other traits. Without the immortality that the Pythia and Delos enjoyed so much.
Lifespan:
100 - 160.
Skin tones:
They usually take the skin tone of the species that they are descendant from. However, when fully revealed as Aasimar, their skin tones range from a pale white, to dark brown, or a metallic colour.
To clarify discovering you are an Aasimar will not change your skin tone, as the Sanguinus infection grows in strength, you will transition more and more to a traditional Aasimar, eventually your skin tone will change too.
Height:
Around the average height for the species they thought they belonged too
Species Traits:
Darkvision:
You have Darkvision with a range of 60 feet.
Healing Hands:
As a Magic action, you touch a creature and roll a number of d4s equal to your Proficiency Bonus. The creature regains a number of Hit Points equal to the total rolled. Once you use this trait, you can’t use it again until you finish a Long Rest.
Light Bearer:
You know the Light cantrip. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for it.
Celestial Revelation:
When you reach character level 3, you can transform as a Bonus Action using one of the options below (choose the option each time you transform). The transformation lasts for 1 minute or until you end it (no action required). Once you transform, you can’t do so again until you finish a Long Rest.
Once on each of your turns before the transformation ends, you can deal extra damage to one target when you deal damage to it with an attack or a spell. The extra damage equals your Proficiency Bonus, and the extra damage’s type is either Necrotic for Necrotic Shroud or Radiant for Heavenly Wings and Inner Radiance.
Here are the transformation options:
Heavenly Wings: Two spectral wings sprout from your back temporarily. Until the transformation ends, you have a Fly Speed equal to your Speed.
Inner Radiance: Searing light temporarily radiates from your eyes and mouth. For the duration, you shed Bright Light in a 10-foot radius and Dim Light for an additional 10 feet, and at the end of each of your turns, each creature within 10 feet of you takes Radiant damage equal to your Proficiency Bonus.
Necrotic Shroud: Your eyes briefly become pools of darkness, and flightless wings sprout from your back temporarily. Creatures other than your allies within 10 feet of you must succeed on a Charisma saving throw (DC 8 plus your Charisma modifier and Proficiency Bonus) or have the Frightened condition until the end of your next turn.
Basic Information
What is a Sanguineous Species?
A Sanguineous Species, is a species that are born of a blood infection. How they contract the disease varies from species to species, however, once contracted you cannot cure it, and should you have offspring, depending on your disease, there may be a change they are born already infected.
A Sanguineous Species, while having many variants once the infection has run its course, start out with two options. Should you play a Sanguineous Species, you can decide to be a Congenital Variant meaning your parents or a member of your family were infection. So as a result you are born fully transitioned into a Sanguineous Species, such as a Tiefling.
The other option is known as the Contaminated Variant. You were born as a different species, before being infected. You will be able to benefit from the species traits of both of your species for a short time, however, eventually your infection will progress and you will lose your birth species traits.
Blood Line Origin:
Being trapped on Terrene for so long, they eventually caused their own deaths as their procreation would sap away at their life force. Their demise was also sped up by the Clockwork Order who worked to kill them so they were removed from Terrene, some returned to their master willingly, other fled into the void, furious at the betrayal of Onir.
When Onir and four other Eternals decided to shut Terrene off from the world, she chose to leave a group of loyal Pythia behind, to help protect her followers, she also abandoned a small portion of Delos behind too, without their knowing. The reason being she worried the other Eternals would suspect something if they saw her withdrawing all her creations from Terrene.
